I once had a "Urist Libashdurad", or "Urist Axebeard".

Urist Axebeard has to be the most dwarfly name ever uttered. Actually, the only name I can think of that might top it is Urist Hammerbeard.

'The Release of Shame' might actually be... well, no, it's not better than Shamefulconvent. But it's pretty damn close. There's so much innuendo in either of those names it's hard to believe it's not intentional...

Haha, I was just looking over a newly genned world map and found a volcano apparently in the ocean (no land tiles around it on the zoomed-out map). It was in the 'Land of Indignation', and it was called 'The Crazy Hill'

I once read about an artifact sword named the haunting whispers of forgotten dead.
That would have been mine, and it's completely made up in order to troll the people in the old "best artifact" thread who kept posting more and more unlikely objects.

That said, i had a dwarf named Dastot Godlywaters. She was pulled off foresting duty to be made a brewer of course.

One tip, remove all the preference and forbidden naming tags, that greatly increases variety.

I found a dwarf fort named Craftstown in Legends. I love how simple and to the point that name is. Sort of reminds me of a name of a town you might find in a video game

Savagekeg, a massive river at the bottom of a canyon that's lined with volcanoes. I immediately embarked and named the fort after it. Of course, I started on the wrong side of the map--I'll have to bridge the canyon to reach the lava.

I just killed a kobold called Staber. I find it funny that he came awefully close to stabbing my guard as well.

Technically, you DID find it in a game...

One of my dwarves' names is something along the lines of "Ust Diamondhammer". I nicknamed him "Hard Rocker".

That's the great thing about this forum. We can derail any discussion into any other topic.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

I had a stream called Pantsman Climax. Sounds kind of racy.
