 The Nation of Babies.

 It's a nation. Of babies.

Not much to say about it.

I just read about a goblin group called The Deceiver of Beans in legends mode.
Funny mental images.  :D

Oh, and a town called Muffinssurprises.

A goblin named usbu Flyleak the Mortified Cactus of Geniuses.

Giggled out IRC the other day when I revealed that a Dwarven civ had imposed a new government on a Goblin settlement.

Called the "Nuts of Sweating".

Heh.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

I'd hate to be in his shoes...

Especially after his toe was slashed off. Ick.

This is a fox skull helmet. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It menaces with spikes of fox bone and is encircled with bands of fox leather. This item is haunted by the ghost of Alfador Angrorung the fox.

*commits thread necromancy*

One "Urist McCoolname" Hammerstricken was immediately drafted for hammerdwarf training upon coming to my last fort.

In the current one...

Not a lot of cool names, other than Rimtar Strifehatchet and the squad "The Mechanical Animals," but a couple very appropriate ones:
The local orc horde is The Permanent Wickedness.
One of my fisherdwarves is named Udil Roofdeaths- makes me wonder what's going to happen next time I need to cause a cave-in.
Two of the squad names are right dwarfy: "The Exaltation of Labor" and "The Granite Torches." (One of the wrestlers has the last name Meattorch, but we're not going there.)

My current fort has no magma, so the metal industry's pretty slow. Naturally, the game is taunting me by naming the fort "Steelglow". (And giving me tons of bauxite.)

I've seen a few over my many worldgens...

Whispertwinkles the Electrum Harp (aka. the most flamboyant artifact ever)
The Dwarven settlement of Sealblood (which breached the HFS seal and resulted in much blood)
The Mortified Nations, a perfect banded agate
Edzul Theaterconstructs, a Dwarf who helped build a megaconstruction in one of my forts
