Alligator Drunk
« on: July 14, 2008, 04:05:36 pm »

As I was wandering off to meet a giant, I encountered a named alligator (nothing strange there), but he was also a drunk. I realize this is due to how the Drunk system has been made but I think there is something fundamentally wrong with this concept.

Odd.  It shouldn't be giving them personalities in the first place, I think, but it seems to be anthropomorprhishisizieing

I knew all those beastmen would make problems.  This is a path that can only lead to dark places.

I've had a Cougar Drunk. I was also "meeting" with a giant, and heard him ripping the head off a groundhog in the distance. He wasn't named, as far as I could tell, the messages were simply of a "Cougar Drunk".

Names don't show up in combat except for deaths as far as I've noticed.

I think it's when they go to a town and steal booze and stuff and get inebriated.

Hmm, has anybody tried getting a bunch of booze from an old fort and drinking it? Does your adventurer get Drowsy? Dizzy? Drunk?

Nope. Drunkness is not implimented. It behaves exactly like water, except flamable.

Okay, I've fixed this for next time -- it'll only make drunks out of civilized creatures whose civilization has an alcohol type.

I suppose yet another caravan arc change would be to let there be drunks in civs that can trade for or steal alcohol too...
