It's finally happened -- everybody RUN

I think the time has come to start respecting the elves and giving them a wide berth.

I just discovered what they do when they win a fight:


I had an elf who attacked a dark fortress as part of a small group.  He killed the demon king of the goblins.  Then, he devoured the demon king and ruled in his place.

So yeah, when they tell you to stop cutting down trees... be careful!

I wonder if they seige now in this version. Either way, I'm not intimidated. I will destroy the elvish scum.

3Dv2 has oh god ELVES NOM NOM NOM...

When regular games has a error, the game goes on as usual.

When Dwarf Fortress has an error, you have man-eating carp, people sleeping in burning beds, and cannibal zerg-elves.

Also, narcolepsy.

On one hand, I'm dying of starvation. On the other hand, this rough cavern floor is the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on.

And I would call that a coma rather than narcolepsy.   The dwarf isn't running around and uncontrollably falling asleep from time to time, he's falling asleep once and then not waking up.

And apparently, Firefox does not understand "narcolepsy".  Although it does understand "narcoleptic".

until my dwarfs can wake up..........

i guess ill just have to go back to exploring around in adventure mode and randomly find the giant i was looking for, only for him to be half dead already..........looks like he just layed there in the grass in a pile of his own dried blood for like 100 years til i got there.......wierd, yet strangely awesome

The reason behind the losses are the fact that elves never get a chance to get skilled due to their frail nature and lousy equipment. Humans however do get skilled. So its just wave after wave of unskilled rocklobbers vs a highly trained war machine. The machine falls sooner or later, but it kills alot.
