Checking the new Legends screen, and I'm following the exploits of a short-lived Hydra (0-47) and in Ici's last year, he was in a kobold cave (I'm guessing from all the dead onenames) called Winnowumbral where he met Strogus Rubbledrip who slew him.
That's the penultimate entry; the final one reads thus;
"In 120, The Clyclopean Fellowship attacked Jribilisleelbus of Bakakaglolber at Lovehollow. Perad Leafyrasps led the attack, and the defenders were led by Ici Sweatknight the Pulpy Top".

The kobold's defending general was an 80 years dead megabeast? Does anyone understand this?

It still seems awfully helpful for a megabeast, especially one whose last acts alive were to kill as all kobolds in sight.
Are there necromancers in the game? Or are kobolds really persuasive when they want to be?

Well, I have noticed, during one of my worldgens, that the number of dead historical figures was going down...

I noticed that too. The dead number was rising and falling, along with the historical figures number.

I'm going to guess the kobold was a practicer of necromancy.
