[39a] Dead Megabeast Leads an army

Checking out the legends screen found this interesting tidbit

In 126, Ereg Cleansearch the Plegm of Stances was struck down by Almef Sealroses in Cloisterpage.

In 168, The band of Pastimes attacked Slalraymus at Lacymurk. Ted Menlucid led the attack, and the defenders were led by Ereg Cleansearch the Plegm of Stances

Zombie Hydra maybe?

Probably, I was about to hunt down a skeletal dragon(Called Zangu Ivorygilt the Jade Flame, which is awesome), but it turned out she was already dead, killed by a dwarf who was killed by a hydra who was killed by...

Another bug I noticed is that there are several repeated entries in the sites entry of the legends screen.

Kobold necromancers.

This is not a bug, it's a feature.  An awesome feature.

Same bug as the OP. I don't have DF open at the moment but, IIRC, it was a titan that died in the year 50 and lead an army around 198.

I had a titan attack a goblin dark tower, in the same year it was founded, and die during the attack - It died in 109 and later defended two different kobold caves from attack, in 331 and 340.

The last few lines of the transcribed history (I shortened the titan's name to Aba after the first time I wrote it) of the titan:

Quote
In 109, Aba Listenpoem the Permanent Years became an enemy of The Vice of Dust.
In 109, Aba attacked Stasost Jackalbeguiler.
In 109, Aba was struck down by Stasost Jackalbeguiler in Seducedsilver.
In 331, The Society of Harvests attacked Pafabagrinkus of Strulugujlirus at The Speechless Holes. Mogem Slipblows led the attack, and the defenders were led by Aba.
In 340, The Joyous League attacked Luchrulgis of Thayngin at Charmscarred. Stram Pregnantland led the attack, and the defenders were led by Aba.

The history of Seducedsilver shows that it was founded by goblins in 109 and that Aba attacked before the goblins had even made any constructions (worth noting in the history anyhow) yet. Nonetheless, they killed it.

I looked through the history of the two kobold caves where Aba supposedly led the defense in 331 and 340, but could find no other references to him in either. Both caves' defenses failed. In fact... The 340 battle says: "Attacker: Force of 19 humans. Attacker was uncontested." And the 331 battle was 38 humans and uncontested.

So! Either DF is listing a battle-leader when there are no defenders, or it is saying the battle is uncontested when it shouldn't be doing so.

As much as I'd like undead megabeasts to come back and lead kobold armies, it's a bug.  Does somebody have a default param world + seed that does this?  Should be easy to fix once I have a world gen to run.

The world I made which had it had the following settings:
[TITLE:42]
[SEED:42]
[HISTORY_SEED:42]
[NAME_SEED:42]
[DIM:257:257]

(Besides the seeds and title it was identical to the default LARGE setting.)

It happens to a titan named "Aba Listenpoem the Permanent Years," who is the fourth historical figure in the list of historical figures in that world.

Is this always happening in large worlds over a 50 year boundary?  I wonder if it has something to do with history culling.  The general part explicitly checks for death.

Toady, ask yourself this; do you really want it to be a bug? The choice is yours...

Patarak, your sentense makes no sense. If the thing is broken and IS NOT working, it's a bug.
If you read the text above you'll see that those "undead" don't do anything, they're just listed.

Oh. Well that's no fun at all then, is it. :(
