Yeah... These things aren't new.  Remote aircraft have been around since the late 80's and the F-117 is so old it's actually been retired.  Developers have been making lots of test bed combinations of them for nearly two decades now,  and every once in a while they a hit a distinctive look that picks up a blip of notice.

You want a crazy advanced plane?  I give you the Flying Flapjack.

My favorite was the German rocket-powered Jet.  It had a little tiny propeller on the front.

You should really play that latest compilation of IL-2 Sturmovik addons, I think it's called 1948. It's got a plethora of weird planes. Among them a normal-looking fighter with two engines and two props - one in front, one in back of the hull, and a german VTOL - literally one flying ducted tiltrotor with a pilot in the middle.

That German rocket with the tiny propeller (it was an electric generator) was the Komet.  It combined two fantastic features - no landing gear, so it was designed to crash; and the rocket ran on pure hydrogen peroxide stored in tanks in the cockpit.  Almost every man who flew one died of dissolution.
