I'm just wondering how many goblins people usually find in their dark towers, because mine seem awfully empty of things to stab. Typically I run in, don't even bother to stealth anymore, and the most gobs I face at once is three with maybe 10 in the fort total. Most of my time is spent wandering around empty rooms. Is this normal?
Once I found three forts maybe ten feet away from each other...I was like cool there's gonna be hordes of them. First fort had 10 or so, second had 6, and the third had none at all

Yeah, there's not a lot of challenge in most goblin forts- for real trouble, try obliterating a human or elven town.

I just recently fought a battle at a goblin city where there were hordes of goblins. I killed maybe 30 - 40, but the most attacking me at any given time was maybe 4. It was pretty darn easy.

Then I ran into a demon, and thought I was dead meat. Threw a pike and killed it instantly.

I find that most of the goblins spend their time milling around outside between the towers.

I've had both ends of the spectrum.

One goblin fortress had my poor legendary swordsman forced to hew their way through around 44 goblins that rushed collectivly down their towers to get mauled. And those were only the ones who felt like greeting me to their humble home.

In a complete opposite turn of events, I ran into a tower with only a hammer lord (that my intrept group of three was going to kill) and a guard. The guard was mauled, as per standard greetings, but the hammer lord proceeded to one-shot my adventurer and bash my companions into a fine paste. I can only assume some horrible things had happened at that tower and he was the only goblin tough enough to handle it.

Almost all of the towers I see are heavily populated.  I've gone through ten or more in one screen.  I still remember the time I must've killed 20 or more in one room of a tower.  They just kept coming.

The goblins in the new version are all friendly. The tower I just went in I witnessed a goblin farmer going for the highscore with a goblin bone crown. She killed 5 guards and a fishery worker before I found her a chopped her head off.
