On my second fort, I forgot to take elevation into account.

I find a beautiful place: crossing between 3 rivers, valley between 3 mountains, plenty of interesting rocks to discover - dorfans are GO!

I arrive.  It's Spring.  The ground is frozen solid.  It's like I've just arrived in Canada.

My fortress knows only two seasons: Winter and July 15.

The last straw was when a dwarf got wounded but nobody could bring him water because the well had frozen.
