I wasn't saying that freezing the victim over in less than 5 seconds would be overpowered. I am just saying that if you read the description of my race, you would notice that freezing them is impossible...

Hmm, true...

*thinking*

ummmm...ok how about this:

Instead of freezing people solid, it inflicts great pain and agony insead as ice crystals form in their blood and puncture their vein walls?

you know, that is the thing

an enzyme in their body prevents the forming of ice, no matter how cold.

also, you don't have to change the artifact so it's lethal for everyone you know ?

I just had a brainwave!

I just looked at a message from Armok about too many humans in the game, and he said to try giants. However I think that they eat too much and aren't really that good at sailing.

So how about Half-Giants? Still reasonable, gives Armok what he wants and is so far unique to the game as far as I know, plus they sound pretty cool.  ;)

What sayeth you Akroma? And what you siad is a good point, though i reckon that the hardness of it could still cause some bodily harm.

Half-giants sound good to me. Just lower the pop-caps a bit then, as bigger organisms need more food.

Yea, and get rid of the horses too, no normal horse can bear the weight of around 3 tons of muscle.  :)

Really, this seems perfect! The history and society fits prefectly, eager for battle and expertice in it from giant blood, and kindness and independance from humanity, perfect!  ;D

And the only way that a giant could really become a sailor is by having its bones carved into a boat. And a crappy one at that, due to the density of said bones.

Here is the new pop caps (Higher than ents cause they are the closest to giants as far as i have seen, yet lower than human civs due to giant blood):

Growth: 15%
Pop support:
Plains: 70
Temporate Forest: 70
Rainforest: 30
Seas/Lakes: 30
River: 30
Desert: 10
Tundra: 50
Mountains: 20
Hills: 30
Wasteland: 40
Taiga: 20
Swamp: 20
Savanna: 10
Palm forest: 30
Glacier: 60

Hows this? And about the axe, i'll change it to having large amounts of severe frostbite, but due to the sheer amount of the unknown material in the axe, it has the effect of freezing creatures to death that are smaller and less tough then a half giant in one minute. No effect on your race akroma of course, but is it overpowered orverall? Im trying to get the balance right...

Horses for riding are no more, only for breeding to eat now, along with cows and other cattle. Though due to giant blood, i'll have to re-vamp the move speeds soon.

the balance seems right. Afterall, it's just one axe, and just one hero. He still couldn't beat an whole army, or level a whole town, so it's fine

with such movement speeds, you might want to consider slowing down your champion. Else, Armok might object

Ok, He will be slowed down. The axe now just adds an extra 2 to his movement on all terrain.

This is for Armok:

Everything is the same as before, just make these changes:

- Erak's movement bonus is reduced to add just 2 to all movement.

- Freezing solid has changed to having large amounts of frostbite, which to anyone who is not immune to ice attacks and is smaller and or less tough than a half giant (quite considerable yet not surpassable) has the effect of freezing solid in one minute unless the victim removes the arm at the shoulder.

- The horses are no longer for riding, just for breeding for meat along with other cattle.

- Movement for them as well as pop cap and growth has changed, look in earlier posts.

- The Hrun are no longer human, but HALF-GIANTS!!! They have above average strength and toughness and are about 4 - 5 metres tall. They weigh about 1 to 1 and a half tons (1000 - 1500 kgs).

- Just remembered, change the thunder sphere on the god section, to 15% ice and leave the rest. I was thinking that the Hrun were related to Frost Giants instead of Thunder giants. No offence!

Thats all that I can think of. Of course if anyone has any objections or advice, feel free to yell it at me if nesscessary.  ;)

Ahhah, the storm giants return! tremble mortals, for Hrafn will skin you alive and hang you as tapestries to the walls of the castle! The storms of destruction shall cut a swathe of blood across the lands and the corpses of the civilized shall litter the ground! Dooom has COME to This Land!

No offense taken.

But I wish to remind you that spheres only determine the powers of the god and have no influence on the civ.

As for horses, you might want to have giant horses to fit your half-giants. Especially bred to be super-strong and able to carry a fully armored half-giant into battle. Or you might wish to use giant wolves or giant lizards for mounts. Or just mammoths.
