I know I'm still using 38b, but there wasn't much in the dev notes to indicate any type of fix in 38c that would be affecting this.

Related to bug #833.

I just had a tame elk die of old age.  He was marked as available on the animal screen, but was never adopted.  He was buried in a coffin made available to pets.  Shouldn't these coffins only accept actual pets?  I guess the availability tags actually marks them as pets, even if they aren't adopted.  Working as intended?

And I know this has been reported before, but my tame dragon died of heat while being locked in a room with burning gobbos.

Dragons (along with other FIREIMMUNE and FIREIMMUNE_SUPER) creatures aren't immune to fire, they just don't mind being on fire. Not sure if that's intended or not.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

No, they're immune to fire.  They just aren't [HEAT_IMMUNE].  Heat damage and fire damage are different.

Correct, he died from heat exposure, not from being on fire.

On the pets, having them tame and available for adoption is enough to trigger the burial.  I could tease that apart further if people like.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd like it to only bury actual pets with names.  Obviously not a big deal, but if you come across something else you're working on regarding animals/pets/coffins, pencil this in.

I agree with Dwarfu... It'd be nice to see a separation...  In real life, we don't usually give graves to unknown tamed animals.  I suppose it happens occasionally, but usually no-one cares.

I'd bury any tamed animal.

Sure, you might, but what about the billions of other people?  :/

They'll do it or they'll pull the drowning lever.
