hm... I'll try that. edit: well I'm pretty sure that won't work- I tried the Japanese version and it has the same bug.
in the meantime I would like to say that the duluxe version does not fix this (not that I was expecting it to, as the same thing happens in pixel earlier game- Ikochan)

Guh... Played this till the last part. Thought it was quite decent (if a bit wonky) until the very last part.

Trekking through the same thing, same lines of dialogue, same jumping puzzles, same 15 minutes of trying to level up your weapons 15,000,000 times over and over again because the creator thought it would make the game more "difficult" when spacing out save points between THREE bosses and those absurdly difficult jumping puzzles TWICE is not fun at all.

Mind-numbing frustration =/= challenge.

Anyone with an invincibility or save anywhere trainer? I just want to see the endings.

I have an edit of the exe that makes the items that let you temporarily fly last forever, and superpowers 2 weapons...

The problem is getting past the second form. Some people say jump on it's head, but the imps, really take your health down. Some people say fully-charged spur, but it gets blocked too often. Hopefully missile spam will be all I need for the last form.
 I say semi-charged spur would be best for the second-forms eyes. Now going to try another ten times.

Anyone ever try any Cave Story challenge runs? A couple popular ones are 3HP and 3HP / Only Polar Star. I've been trying a 1HP / Level 3 Nemesis (hacked save, of course) run, and I can't get past the second boss fight; the nemesis' firing rate is so terrible. I've uploaded two videos and one took me *six minutes* before I died.

I know of a fellow who took out [BOSS NAME REMOVED*] with only the Bubbler, and 3HP I believe. It was so awesome.

Monster X was... well I cant describe it with words. I dont want to even want to think about how it will be with 1 HP/nemesis... *shiver* good luck

But anyway after I beat the game like this, I plan to try that 3 HP/Polar star challange.
I havent even thought of hacked saves yet though I should look into that.

The technique I use is jump onto the eyes and then let loose with a fully-charged spur.  Rinse and repeat.

Indeed, although I generally re-gained those hearts through cautious play of the next segment and farming the crusher boss. After I figured out how to finish off the first three forms, the third one was starting to give me problems.
 Missile spam? How the heck would that work? I just equipped the Spur and faced away from him. Curly did all the boss killin' for me.

Get hit by one of the little creatures or spikes, use the temp invincibility to jump into his eye in the final form.  Spam missiles.

Hm. Seeing this game and all the spoiler tags I want to reveal, I went to download it. But the PC version is broken. Can anybody upload the game somewhere?
