if two more people show up, we can play. I've been on the winning side three times in a row, my self-confidence skyrocketed, so I need somebody to put me back in line.

My worst problem (or at least at the moment, that I know of), is sending my commander out into battle and not making enough troops. Got steamrolled on the second level of the elf vs orc campaign on normal. Managed to hold them off, and was about to win, but I needed either 1 more turn or more favour from the RNG.

EDIT: Done it again, but even worse this time, cause I got utterly annihilated. The problem was cash flow.

Cash flow wasn'y my problem. My problem was assuming that recalling was free, and so recalling everything I could lay my hands on. I managed to beat that level and the next by the skin of my teeth, but now I'm up against TROLLS. At least two bases of em. I swear this game is imbalanced. One Elf team with a hundred starting gold can not beat two troll teams. Anyone got any help (I'm on normal difficulty, but I think they should rename it to hard).

Oh and up for any kind of multiplayer game anytime, as long as I don't have to host.

Does your gold carry over from other scenarios? If so, you might want to replay previous scenarios for more money. Also, review the troll's stats. Make sure you exploit their weaknesses.

Arrows. Lots of them. Second, yea, only recall useful units.

A percent of your gold carries over, but there's a minimum that you'll start with anyway even if you end up with too little the previous mission.

when the minimum is a hundred gold and the RNG hates you... I've been hit twice (and killed) by trolls when my elves have seventy percent protection in the woods, and missed every one of my four shots against a troll with 40-50% protection.

EDIT: Also, is it only me who hates the way the range system works? I really don't want to have to waltz up to a troll that can kill me in one lucky turn in order to attack him with my bow.

Im up for a game anytime!

And I think I know the problem with my campaign. Apart from the fact that the trolls summon about 8 level 2 trolls (luckily only about one a turn) before they actually play fair and make troll whelps, and the fact that they regenerate 8 hp a turn AND are slightly resistant to both pierce and blade attacks, the scenarios before that one took a heavy toll, robbing me of all but one lvl 2 troop (and one lvl 1 fighter with 2xp to lvl). Also the scenario before awards you a measly 2xp per turn finished early, and the one before is nigh impossible as is. Rant aside, has anyone actually finished the fourth scenario of the elves vs. orcs campaign on normal?

Now? Im all ready for a game with you, or a continuation of my match with Il Palazzo. I have plenty of time on my hands. However, I do run the risk of dropping out randomly due to either internet or computer issues.

deadlycairn: I should be around today at midnight(gmt) if you'll be up to it. Perhaps more people will show up so we can have a teams match.

Ach, by the time I learned of the add-ons I had reached my bedtime. I must retire for today, but tomorrow I'll be searching for if anyone wants to play a game that doesn't require add-ons.
