Different map size?
« on: August 15, 2007, 09:39:00 am »

Hmm, I created a new world today. And I notice the fortress is much smaller than previous ones. The river is within one screen from the gate, so is the cave river.

This might be a good thing(haulers don't need to travel so long, so does caravans ), or bad(seigers will be closer).

Size is the same, position varies. The rivers/chasm/magma go zig-zag randomly.

Each section is at about 100, 200, and 300 if i remember correctly, plus or minus 50. So yeah they are currently randomized a bit. Some areas will have more room, some have less. In my current game, my river bends left and my chasm bends right, giving me a huge building area between there. It's really convenient.
