Lets make this simple:

Word I like: Capital! An excellent word for describing both the city in which government is seated as well as an exclamation of delighted surprise.

Word I loathe: Indeed. While I use the word quite often, I dislike it specifically because I use it so frequently. The only other acceptable synonyms are 'quite' and 'verily' and those wear out just as quickly.

Cthulhu what did you change? You know you have to bold it bc I can't be bothered. TL;DR

He changed and bolded a single letter. I had used the semi-obscure word formication (which means a sensation of insects crawling on one's skin); Cthulhu changed it to fornication, which suggests that I have indiscriminate sex when I get riled up about matters grammatical.

I hate the word "Vegan"
It makes me want to go out and destroy a soy milk factory.

Noob.  As soon as you see or hear someone use that word you know that they play too many online games, and more often than not it comes from a complete imbecile.
Imbecile is a pretty cool word though.

I can't say I like or dislike any specific word. I like peculiar words in general, though most of those that I know are russian, and thus unpronouncible here. For example, "counter-strategy" is not interesting in english, while in russian it's spelled as one word, and thus has 6 consonants in a row (kontrstrategiya).

I dislike certain phrases, but these are mostly due to them being used by my parents and relatives at times when I am most annoyed to hear them. Although, I suspect anyone can come to hate the phrase "get up, time to go to school" when it's used to wake them up every morning. I can say I absolutely dislike the sound my alarm clock makes, too. :)

Also, I really really like "Edinburgh". If it's pronounced correctly, it has this cool rrrrgggh sound at the end.
On the other hand, I dislike the name of my own village, "Evergem"

The word I dislike the most is probably Action-RPG and all the associated buzz words of the gaming industry, like immersion, depth etc. It represents the dumbification of the world and the utter corruption of a game genre that once was the pinnacle of intellectual gaming.

The word I like the most is night. It just sounds so right, rhymes with might and wins the fight. Besides it symbolizes a time in a day when the light no longer threatens to burn my skin and heat my brain till it rots. Plus all the infernal noise the people outside make disappears.

Hmm, this is a toughie of a question. I'd probably have to say 'Fuck' is the word i like most. Not jsut because its rude but because it has a wonderously large amounts of applications that help enforce your points. Probably one of the underrated good words out there.

Words i detest. Well, hate for one, its no-where near as powerful as it should be.

(Oh, and Asheron nice choice, I love the word edinburgh too, added bonus i stay there :D)
