Using Spore to creat DF creatures
« on: June 27, 2008, 09:50:13 am »

Well, I feel I've successfully created something that resembles a foul blendec in spore.  I made a beak dog, too, but it's not that good.

Beak Dog

Foul Blendec

Post your DF-inspired spore creations!  I think stranglers are perfect for this.

These are the best I could find on sporepedia for sporfs.  I didn't make either of them.

Those sporfs look awesome. Can't wait to fight those in the tribal stage. Tell the person who created those to make some gobs (goblores or spoblins?)

The second one was made by our very own Tahin.

The first one... no idea.

You can load images/saves in the creature creator through the drag and drop method or by saving them in the My Documents>Spore Creations>Creatures folder, if I remember correctly. And you have to be sure to save the smaller of the two demonstrative images: either the one linked to in the "download" button or the one that is initially visible on the sporepedia, before you click on it for the expanded view. There really should be a video tutorial on how to do this, methings.

They are both good, but I personally prefer the top one.

@Techhead: I'm sorry, but you are wrong. Tahin's is obviously superior- Uh, which one was that, again? OH! That one. My bad.

Huh. The barefoot look on that other one doesn't mesh well with the armor. And whoever made that used a bird wing for the beard. That's genius.

Even barefoot, it looks pretty good.
I love the beard on it.
