Companiony people...
« on: June 25, 2008, 03:32:24 am »

And, more to the point, how to get rid of them. I got two dwarven companions right at the beginning and they're great. Too great. They often find the target and kill it before I know about it. I can't kill them, they're just too lucky and/or good. Any ideas?

Go to a cave with some GCS. Or go to a goblin tower and hide while a marksgoblin decimates them.

Heh, You'd think that'd work... they're far too awesome. They just block every shot.

Goodies-on-fire! Place your bets on how long will the fortress last with flaming looters running around.

You might instead want to make elves melt at very low temperatures.  When they enter your map, instead of setting their stuff on fire you'd just end up with a few puddles of molten Elf.  A cleaning crew will be along shortly.

Better yet, make them boil. Then all you have to deal with are clouds of boiling elves. No dwarves have to touch them that way.

That'd leave some nice, clean elf bones, right?

I remember a mod where somebody made a creature magma-proof, except for one thing: Their skin. So instead of complete vaporization, you get their skin to melt off their bodies. At least, thats what I remember reading.

I wonder if you could selectivly set different parts of the body(Bones, skin, meat) to different temperatures tolorances. Watch as their skeletons melt!

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.
