Yep. I mean, what are they teaching kids about history in schools these days? I mentioned off-hand the other day the Ghandi Gang - that infamous band of dimension-hopping hooligans made up alternate version of Ghandi - and everyone just looked at me like I was crazy! I was all like "You don't know the story of the Trials of Pirate Ghandi? The wacky quips of Nazi Ghandi? Not even the romantic redemption of Cowboy Ghandi?"

I mean, if they're not going to teach the important stuff, they might as well just make it all up.

Come on. The only reason WWII was won by the allies is because of soviet Russia. You Americans did jack squat except protect the Australians from Japanese invasion.

Back to topic: I have never used Dorfs, Dwarfs, Dwarfys or DW4PH$ when refering to fictional Tolkien based dwarves.

But can you really say that DF dwarves are Tolkien-based?  Sure, we all start off imagining the dwarves as those popular fantasy bearded warriors, but after a while of playing you begin to seriously doubt whether or not the common fantasy dwarf could perform such acts of utter stupidity.

I have seen dwarves in many games, but I have only ever seen Dwarf Fortress dwarves in Dwarf Fortress.  They are a unique breed of idiot that is utterly unique to this game.

The Germans had better better technology, high morale bordering on fervor, very good discipline (for their above-average troops), and intelligent tactics.  The Russians used potatoes for grenade practice.  Somehow, they still beat the Germans.

I think that they were probably just disorganized...  For all their rigid training and unquestioning obedience, they didn't have the most mentally stable leaders.  And, they had supply drains from within as Jewish rebels gathered strength and fought back.

At least Australia is safe.  Now those lads knew how to be grateful!

Russians invented Bomb Dogs.

The Germans obviously couldn't handle that kind of awesome. The factor of awesome is an often underestimated in battle. It's a well accepted fact at Westpoint that the apex of military technology is Necromancer Gorillas riding time-travelling Velociraptor Transformers that scream obscenities in rapid Spanish.

I'm sure the French would disagree on the Americans help in the war.

And while I applaud the efforts of Russians like Lyudmila Pavlichenko, I have to admit that after the dinosaur invasion of Russia(Which we must admit, the Russians only won because of the cold weather) that country was in no shape of helping out with the Germen war-machines fueled by babies souls.

Then there was the whole problem with Simo Häyhä.

Don't go saying a specific country was ineffective in a war. We all ha problems. I really don't want this to turn into a flame-war of who killed the most dinos(Which we all know, the Brazilians did).

Dunno about that. Most French people I know (which is admittedly not a huge cross section of society) think that the French won the war. Alone.

This reminds me of a level from red alert 2: Yuri's revenge. The soviets time travel back to the Jurassic period and fight with the dinos. Good times.
