When exactly do religions start showing up in forts?

I can't recall ever seeing a religion spring up among my dwarves. Amongst my human fortresses, perhaps, but not among dwarves. When do deities get created, how, and are they imported with immigrants or made up as the fort goes?

Gods should be in there right from the World Gen, if you look at their relationships page it should tell you who they worship.

Oddly enough, on a new fort, all my dwarves are complete and utter athiests. That's the problem. And no immigrants are worshippers of any gods either.

Deities are created at world gen.  They are not assigned to your dwarves, however, until after you embark.  If you're looking at their personalities at the embark screen they won't have deities yet.

So no deities are showing up on the personalities screen?  How about in the relationships screen?

In the upcoming release, apparently religions can get wiped out during world-gen wars, making it possible for some groups to have no religion.  I don't think that happens in the current version, though.

Maybe you could backup your save, abandon the fort, and then go into Legends mode to see if there are any gods for your dwarves' civilization.

Ohhh. I get it. I'm using a pregenerated world, all of which were made _before_ the current release, so absolutely no religions exist. Go figure. I need to create my own world!

Or you could just enjoy your Athiest Peace. I mean, it's not as if kobolds and dwarves can't find enough reasons to kill one another, no reason to add jihadism to the mix.

Don't start me about it. I just played a game of civilization. I completely dominated on everything. Including religion... :(
I have absolutely every religion in my empire. I founded confuscunism, hinduism and christianity and some cities have adopted judaism.

I was pretty sure the word was "crusaderism", or just plain
"fundamentalism"...

Just out of curiosity, when did it become "Jihadism"?
