'Savageland' mod, incredibly early development

Ok, i'm messing with making a mod which replaces wildlife and races with stuff that would belong in The Lost World. So far i have a lizardman race which isn't finished yet, and mostly unchanged creatures from the prehistoria mod.

A really funny thing happened. I had made the Saurian (the lizardmen) entity basically human with the [ENTITY_GROUPING:EVIL] tag, some other changes and only settling in tropical biomes. The creature itself is based off of the Lizardman creature, but is no longer amphibious and has the appropriate tags to let them civ and stuff with personality differences, etc. I also gave them 5 different main attacks: punch 1:2 bludgeon, claw 1:3 slash, (tail)whip 1:4 bludgeon, kick 1:3 bludgeon, bite 1:3 gore. Which makes them really nasty, but i intend all of the races to be this nasty.

So i make a world and 'settled' a dwarf fortress occupying only one of their cities, using only military dwarves, no supplies and an army of wardogs. My dwarves got completely owned and i repeated it at the other two cities. At the last city one dwarf managed to survive by spawning inside a building and getting knocked pretty much permanently unconsious. I 'reclaimed' and locked the doors. Thats when the funny happened. Some dinosaurs had spawned at the edges of the map as wildlife. Apparently Saurians hate this, and a whole swarm of them went rushing off and killed all the small ones. Then two adamantisaurs spawned and then half the population of the city chased them around for hours. They managed to surround one for a while, but i promptly killed one and went running off again, Saurians in tow. After more hours of chasing, they surrounded it again and it pt-owned them real good getting a lastname and killing or disabling all of it's atackers. Only had a mildly injured lower spine to show for it too. But it was freakin' hilarious seeing about 30 Saurins chasing it everywhere.  :P

Can you provide the stats of your "adamantizauri" please, I'm interested =).

It's pretty much unedited from the prehistoria mod (i didn't make it) I think its supposed to be a completely fictional armored sauropod.

First, Delete was always something only an Admin like Toady could do.

Second, nothing in there suggests that it should attack other creatures at all, unless they attack it first.

Third, should it be made of adamantine or something?

No no no, it's the Saurians that attack it. I guess it must be the [liKES_FIGHTING] tag or something.

And i think the intention is that it is incredibly tough/strong like addy. Dinosaur means thunder lizard, no one asks if they're supposed to be made of thunder.

As for the Saurians attacking them, they would attack all non-evil creatures, I believe.

Thanks for pointing that out, i'll fix it. Didn't stop them from owning the Saurians though.  :D

Edit: Dude, this prehistoria mod is so unpolished. All the claw attacks were pierce for some odd reason. Oh, and i lowered the damage on the Saurian's kick and tailwhip by 1 each since even a horse kick does 1:2.

I'll keep that in mind when i make a pikeman race. Now that would be confusing, Pikeman pikeman soldiers.

I'll let you use my homebrew creatures for this mod if you want.  The giant cave sloth fits in the best of them all, but they all work pretty well for an exotic, prehistoric-ish setting.

The mountain/chasm one can fly and has extra damblock, the freezing biome one throws fireballs and can swim, and the desert/badland one has extra size and speed.

It's a bit hard to describe what the Flayls look like, but I imagine them as being large, strong, hairless humanoids, with a circular mouth (a bit like a lamprey, I guess?), four tentacles on the midbody, and fleshy predator-dreadlock-like things protruding from their heads...

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Hmmm....  You think it'd be possible to make a race with prehensile feet?  Can't have a Lost World without that sort of thing.
