Creature with the [VERMIN_NOTRAP] tag, trapped?

Lungfish have the [VERMIN_NOTRAP] tag, which should make them exempt from capture by placed animal traps or by trappers 'capturing live land animal'.

My trapper just caught one.

Is this a bug, or does the tag just not work properly?

He may have caught one with a vermin trap.
