Are you planning on being more lenient about signatures inside spoiler tags?  On some other forums I visit, the rule is six lines outside spoiler tags, all but unlimited inside.  (useful for linking to your guides/miscellaneous important threads)

Of course, the contents of the spoiler tags don't seem to load until you click them on that forum, so bandwidth is less of an issue.

Yeah, we can discuss the spoiler tag a bit if you like.  Is bandwidth the only issue?

From a purely technical perspective, will it let you insert those lines into your spoiler tag at this time?  It'll probably still yell at you.  I don't know of a way to allow extra lines there without another mod (I don't know how to do the mod either, of course).

Spoilers inside sigs.  Huh.  I like.  That has got to be one of the most cleaver way to have bigger than normal signatures without ruining anyone's experience.

I think the hover spoilers look worse -- the click ones we've got now look like a link, and those are fairly common in sigs already, though it does say "spoiler (click here to show/hide)", which might not be what people are going for.

Right now, I think it's stalled technically, since I can't put them in my test account "sorry you don't have permission to post spoilers", despite having the general permission set and the tag checked in the admin panel.

I meant that spoilers look bad in signatures in general.
It's because they are colored oppositely to the post they are part of, but identically to the post below them, and because they are right next to the post below them, the color combinations look terrible.

And I agree that hover-spoilers are bad, especially annoying with images. Clicking is much better.

I go with small images for one main reason: People will put things like THIS in their signature if allowed to do so.

I actually know a guy who posts everywhere in every topic with short, often meaningless replies and puts THAT below it all.
