I've got a boring fortress image, a dwarf surrounded by dwarves.

But it is completely and utterly made up for by the BEST national seal ever.

Depressed Elves.

So I got irritated with a human trader and decided to go on a killing spree in a town after my 1st fort in a new land, way back in 1056 or so after the 1st fort bombed.

... so anyway, several forts later, 1097 or so, I start a fort... I guess close to where I went on my massacre. My engravers are OBSESSED with the murders. At least a quarter of the engravings are "U" ... where "U" translates to a dwarf striking down a human.

I saw it so often I assumed it *WAS* a Civ image or the local government image... but nope... my dwarves are just obsessed with serial killers!

(The world is up to 1108 now, too... to make it more exciting I gave trolls firebreathing... sieges are fun :) )

I'm getting a lot of images of a dwarf raising a sock; there are no particularly notable socks in the history of the fort, so I'm assuming this is their civ image.

Those are just the campaign posters for the yearly election.  Except that they don't seem to bother tearing them down ever.

I keep getting one or multiple waves.  My dwarves seem to have dreams of getting out of the mountains.
