This day I've just realized that due to the new avatar thingie I begin to understand that community has a value named "gender".
Before this I accepted every user here as that "beardy dwarf" without a real gender-impact (you can see the gender in DF if you [v]iew the creature, but in usual game I don't differentiate male fisherdwarf from female fisherdwarf in most situations). The same thing happened to me in forums. I basically thought that we're all just "male dorfs", but with the latest changes I began to see those girly avatars and forum profile genders which made me to think that these forum consists of women too... And it made me to feel shy for many posts I've made before  it suddenly dawned upon me.

The max. before was about 600 posts on forums where I was a member for 2-3 years.

I feel much more comfortable in male-df-perverts enviroment =).
And that girlface-malepants thing irritates me a lot, I even PMed some of those persons asking "why on hell" do they use such avatars.

I have as well, which is why I phrased it the way I did.  The internet is anonymous, and people like portraying themselves as something other than what they are physically.  People tend to forget this.
