The worst part is the edges of these "Giant Chambers" are engraved, so any changes done in that section sends poor little Monom Lirmonom (Paper Climaxpapers) into tantrums.

I just noticed something about the exports of this fortress... IT'S ALL MUGS!

Frigging mugs out the ears!

It would be better for us to mass produce something better then mugs darnit!

Though that's just my opinion. I am doing absolutly nothing to correct this issue   ;)

Just made it to Autumn. Saving it in case it crashes again. The Farms are draining, once they drain then there will be less people running around like fools hunting for rats because the food intake isn't solid and stable.

(Edit: And Kadol is more stable, so hasn't tantrumed because his engravings go poof)

NO SEEDS!
The poor dwarves. There isn't a SINGLE underground plant seed on the caravan, or any plants that would give a seed. I've got access to 13 strawberry seeds, but that's because I gathered so many plants.

Things aren't looking good for the future of this fortress. Whoever takes it over after me will be in serious trouble, but at least they will have ample underground farmland if they run across underground seeds. I'll see about fixing the trader start location to get a wagon as well.

(Edit: Just about done with Autumn. Found some nice things, It'll be in my story when I finish.)

Since no one else has joined I will take 3rd, maybe kagus will be ready then for a turn... If we can make it thru the great depression!  The brook is not exactly teeming with life if I recall correctly,  Bah! Looks like the elves may be our hope this spring...

Actually I solved that problem, but more on that later  ;)

Hehe.

We should force Kagus to take the next spot, so that it isn't you with only one year in between. The fortress could REALLY benefit from the views of someone other then you for a few extra years, seriously...

:(

I've had the WORST OF LUCK! With this fortress. Now it's my entire story, and the saved stuff, that went away.  :( So now I've got crap for a story. Here it is.

Fortress Sprits become the guiding spirits for their ambition. My ambition was survival, so this year, I had the edge.

The fortress was in chaos, with vast empty spaces where the living location for the living was to go, held up only by the prayers to the gods. This was the first issue my ambition was to deal with, and the easiest.

Next was the Merchant Caravans having inproper access to the depot, this was my second issue to deal with, and the second easiest.

The third was food and farms.

Through the grace of the gods, I managed to solve this problem too. The goddess of agriculture, trees, and rain granted underground plants to grow in the mud. This provided seeds for the farm, which took almost a year in itself to create.

In my year, I possessed a dwarf to create an adamantine chain, and watched the creation of a Rainbow Trout Bone Buckler by the sheriff. My tasks are done though, and as such, I fade out, to let the next spirit with ambition take the lead of the fortress spirits...

I've got to find a place to upload this, then I'll post it's location. (DFFD is SLOW!!!)

No, I have to worry. The Horrors of 31x100 rooms... *Shudders and hides under the covers*

At least I don't have to face them!

Late winter 1053

From the journal of Obok Fikukkol...

Indeed we have been so busy this year I realize I have not had time to properly document our labours.  Here now in the late winter I ponder all that has happened indeed it has been a joyous year and I feel the blessings of our gods...

The year began with worries of our food supplies holding up.  With the previous year's follies fresh on my mind a miraculous omen from the gods refreshed my spirit.

A cave lobster crown!

Indeed my faith was in the gods.  During this time the strange dreams continued, I felt a pull to irradicate these hallowed halls of all nonbeleivers.  My position firm I sentenced all the heathen to death...
All told immigrants arrived on the 2nd felsite os spring, the 8th malachite of summer and the 4th timber of winter.  All nonbeleivers received the same fate.  The followers of Godum flock here.  Perhaps they feel drawn by the hoards of demons we have trapped.  One day we will destroy them for good but that day is long off, for now I rather enjoy their...assistance

Kadol supported my during this tough decision to cleanse the fortress of these heathen and our love grew stronger.

Our gods had been so good to us, I prayed daily to give thanks for their blessings.  One night another vision came to me.  A vision of a great monument to sculpturedfists took over all of my thoughts and I ordered all hands too aid in its construction.  This would be a fine thanks to the gods I truly beleive...And so it was done.

Below is a fine rendition of Sculpturedfists raising his axe in victory by Obok Fikukkol.

From the distance all will know our devotion to our saviour Sculpturedfists and the Trinity of Roariron!

Eventually all three of our deities must be shown the same respect but I feel my work is done, someone else will feel the calls of Lurit and Lorsith.  Then the gods will truly be happy.

Indeed I knew Sculpturefists was pleased. Upon completion of the Monument in his name he let his presence be known through possesion and showed his happiness. This confirmed my visions and Strengtened my resolve to maintain my convictions and I pledge we shall exterminate all non-beleivers who shall follow those who came before them.

This gave me the courage to do what I Knew must be done and the filthy Drunk who was our leader was... disposed of.  Now the gods are truly happy with me I feel it.  Or fort is free of non-beleivers for the time being.  But Lately I have had dreams of a child leading an army... I shudder to recall this and it disturbs me greatly.

All in all it truth be told was a blessed year, as smooth as a masterpiece block and I will take these last days of lazy winter to ponder my beloved...Ah how I long for her hand in marriage...She is truly remarkable, nearly single-handidily building this place...Roariron!

I have been so busy I forgot to order the beds I made hauled into our quarters...

Ah well time for me to sleep...
