This is almost winter (late autumn) and I need to surrender my save. I have no time to play on the week and I think you don't want to wait until the next weekend.

There's the current 1st line of defences (with 2 proficient speardwarves, I trained them with silver spears xD, now they wield iron ones; also there's a marksdorf in the guard room).

Please DO NOT LET THE CHAMPS SPAR, they may bruise each others' brains/spines and it won't heal. I set them on duty and do not do opposite, they're already legendary!

I have a 4-elite marksdorfs squad, 1 more is training and 1 more is at the guardpost (6 marksdorfs total).
Everything seems fine. Elites patrol the outer wall.
There're 200+ (maybe 250+) bins and about 800+/800+ foods/drinks with huge farms running. I think my reign was successful.

P.S. The Golden Tomb is empty so consider to place there anybody cool you want.
I've got 2 immigration waves (1 in spring, 1 in autumn) which resulted in new peasants, a ranger, a few other smaller professions, 1 speardwarf and 2 marksdwarves. No useless nobles so far.
ROARION AFTER DEON

DO NOT FORGET TO USE Jobs -> Management
DO NOT LET THE CHAMPS SPAR!

Bravo!! I cant beleive Obok made it so that I may continue his story....  Thanks to all the previous rulers.  My turn will begin today, I will post questions as need warrants.  Also I have a tournament fort running, but will update often through my turn so no one gets bored of Roariron.  If any previous rulers would like to be added for a turn this second round let it be known.

Checking your savefile and the second map in the primary map grouping, there is no such lever anymore, however, the floodgate is still accessible by foot.

Something is amiss, Obok is buried and there is another Obok who is the mayor, hmmmm and he has no mechanic skills, the real obok was pulling his lever for years...What happened?  Seems there was a murder and an imposter took his place, please clarify for me.

From the journal of Kadol Sosadineth...

I have been troubled by strange dreams lately.  Obok comes to me as a zombie, with
wounds covering his body, he gestures madly but he cannot speak.  He carries decapitated head appearing to be his own.  I have not mentioned these dreams to him.  Aye he has been distant lately,  he is never home with the children or me and our oldest son does not take to him anymore.  He asks what is wrong with his father, and I have no answers for him.  He bothers me not in the evenings anymore, and never touches his lever.  I am concerned.  I have began spending time in the church praying for guidance...

Our current ruler has asked me to take his place as he is mentally fatigued from
the day to day tasks of Governing Roariron.  Perhaps this place has finally gotten to Obok.....

Those sound like symptoms of a compulsive dwarf companion user! I mean, seriously, DFC can produce as many copies of the corpse of "some bozo" as you want... As for the mechanics, levers don't give mechanics skill.

From the journal of Kadol Sosadineth...

I had the dream again.  I am troubled deeply.  Obok appears more and more frantic in the dream, but again he speaks not.  I am taking a trip to the demon pits to take my mind off of this,  I feel the need for solitude.

I thought of a way to explain it =).
And was wondering how soon will you notice this.
I occasionally drown obok while designed well for his office. He was just staying there and doing nothing when the miner undermined a tile below him. He fell down and suffocated in water... And I had no save from the long time and an artifact. So I decided to cheat a bit and made another peasant like him. In fact that peasant's name already was Obok and I just changed its surname and tried to make him elected as mayor. Surprisingly he was elected without any noise. Noone noted he's dead, no tantrums or sad dwarves.
And definitely I had a story for this.
The Obok's twin was waiting to take the place of his brother, because he was left poor and unnoticed while his brother went high up the noble ladder. He sneaked in the fortress and when the mayor was inspecting the place for his new well in the newly created church he was too close to the well hole in the floor, so his evil brother just pulled him in the back.
After the well was created nothing could show that there was an evil murder here.
A guard saw someone dragging a bag with something big inside but he didn't note it. "Just another peasant hauling food" he thought. But it was Obok, Obok's brother and murderer. He placed the drown body at the place where noone will search it. In its own tomb.

I thought the story would be fun and instead of reloading and making the church and golden tomb again and loosing the artifact adamantine barrel I decided to make this move.
I cheated a bit: I changed the peasant's (Obok) surname and set noble skills plus made him to lead the recordkeeping and managing the tasks, so he was elected really fast in the place of his dead brother. I didn't resurrect a body.

Ah, no rezzing. Ah well. Similar, but leaves more traces. And don't relationships... Nevermind. Anyways, why'd you build over the tower cap farm?

The following is an excerpt from the book of Roariron, at the library of Urist, from Old dwarven to human by Berent.....

Kadol kneeled and crawled near the edge of the great chasm that was the remnants of the Demonhammer by Limul Momuzemal, may the gods be pleased.

The depths of the pit were not unerving to Kadol but the pain she felt was.
Obok could feel the same dark power that crept from it, still tho all the Demons be slain, the power of darkness tainted this place.
She slept hard that night, if at all, the darkness engulfed her. And dreams evaded her for the darkness crept.

Elswhere Godum laughed, mere mortals could not exile him, for his was an eternal strength.  Tho this was but a pittance of a place in his universe, he took great joy in the comedy of one particular mountain pass...

When Kadol arose she began her descent...
