Triple Post: (some characters have reversed genders, sorry but thats how it goes)

Grukol's Journal, 1st Granite, 1052
It's been several months since we left the Mountainhomes. We've come from the far north, trekking our way down the rivers and streams. It's always been us Seven, and seven we've remained. However, we took some Bovine losses on the way. Jorhind lost both of her cows on the journey south. Apparently Carp are creatures to be reckoned. She was horribly upset, but that is life. Her apparent love for the outdoors concerns me. I also got a lot of fighters with me on this trip, which is ofcourse a great relief. Skadi, our Speardwarfette extraordinaire has been protecting us quite well, and Lem. Well, Lem is quite the handidwarf. Quite good with tinkering, he has a tendency to get into fights. Then we have Vagusholon, She's going to be quite useful in the long run. In the short term though, her love of the Siege Weapons might not (Or perhaps might) help us. The last two of our group. Are strange. Rice, being a dwarf of the stone, tends to just engrave and make stone knick knacks for the better part of his days. Also, Valcon is one of our miners...and Wood Crafter...Drink that one in if you will. On a more interesting note. Our Wagon has broke down, and just to our North is a rather large pack of wolves. So in the interest of self preservation I've ordered to dig down into the earth and construct walls as soon as possible!

Yeah I'll put you with the closest thing to my military right now.
You're assigned to Skadi. Though it won't let me change it's name if your claimed mutt kills anything I'll refer to it as Akroma.

Grukol's Journal, 18th Granite, 1052
We've dug into the earth. The wolf packs keep roving around up top. So I've made a decision to dig down further and atleast make our situation a bit more comfortable. Valcon and Jorhind have dug out spaces for our first farm here. Along with several spots for workshops. So far, we've secured a fine area to get things made. Vag keeps pestering me for a Siege Workshop. Apparently, She's cut down all the wood she could need for the first Catapult. I told her I'd think about it. Also, Jorhind keeps muttering about wanting to sleep under the stars. Upon overhearing it, I told her if she felt so inclined to sleep under the stars, she can ask one of the wolves to accompany her for the night. On a side note, I've found a deer carcass in one of the new hallways. I don't remember ever telling anyone to hunt though.

OOC: By the way, gratz Jorhind not only do you have a War Dog. But both cats adopted you within 10 minutes of gameplay!

Grukol's Journal, 4th Slate, 1052
Work has begun on Jorhind's cabin. It will be small, but I think she will be grateful I went even as far as building a wooden cabin to begin with. Also, I've let Vag start on making a Catapult. Though she wont be able to fire it until I feel our stone supply is getting out of hand. Vulcan has created seven beds as well, also he and Jor have carved out rooms for us.

OOC: Yes I really have started on a wooden cabin for Jor, it's a 3x3 room at the moment, it'll have stairs going up top. But it's floor and Roof will be made of Stone.

Vagúsholon's Notebook, 4th Slate, 1052.
It's been a little bit since I last updated my notebook, appearently I left it in the mountainhomes, though I'm not quite sure...

Grukol has finally allowed me to begin the construction of a catapult. I've named her "Vîrumid" (Starfall), after what the fools will see when they attempt to approach her. She's a nice piece of work, with *The rest of the entry is filled with complex jargon and diagrams of a catapult*

Grukol's Journal, 20th Slate, 1052

Vag's Catapult is set up on the surface. She's named it Starfall in the Human tongue. I've told her to hold it's fire for a bit. As we dont have enough stone, though we have no need for the stone except for a few things. As previously noted in my past journal entries, there were wolves roaming top side. However, from what Skadi tells me they've all buggered off! With the wolves gone for now, we've finished building the first floor to Jorhind's private cabin. I suppose she would love to spend some time in it, but I need her to keep tunneling out the fort for now.

Grukol's Journal, 23rd Slate, 1052
We got our first encounter with the villainy of the area. Unfortunately, wolves are not the only creatures we must worry about. As reported from Skadi, as she patrolled the Western edge of the jungle. She had spotted a Werewolf. Simultaneously, that werewolf spotted her and charged. Skadi held up her spear valiantly and fought. Her faithful War Dog Akroma, jumped and bit the werewolf in the head. However, even with Akroma by her side she could see she was not match for this evil yet and retreated. Unfortunately, for poor Akroma the mutt didnt get the idea. It continued it's attack on the foul creature. The werewolf tore the dog in two. I've told all the dwarfs, that retrieving the corpse is out of the question. However, Skadi is going back out. Saying that she must seek revenge. There's nothing I can do, but hope that she returns.
Her spear is worth quite a lot.

Afternoon 23rd Slate, 1051
Grukol labors in the farm, carefully planting his Plump Helmets. As he looks down at his patch, footsteps are heard from behind him. He looks over his shoulder, then back to the Helmets.
"So, ya got 'em eh?" he gruffly says.
He hears a plop in the soil. Looking down he sees the head of the werewolf. Half of the face slowly returning to it's human side.
"Twere not a fight, just a massacre" responds Skadi.
"Good job then, sorry bout yer dog" he doesn't turn to even look at Skadi. He returns to his farm work.
"By the way..." he starts
"What?"
"Unless yer tryin' to grow Werewolves, get that head out of here."

26th Felsite, 1052
"Lignite!" yells Valcon, his shouts echo up the mine shaft. Grukol stands from his stooped posture. Moments later Valcon bursts into the farm.
"Look! Lignite! We can make Cokeaine!" He chuckles at his intended joke.
Grukol silently stares at Valcon, who slowly stops chuckling.
"Great find Valcon, when we ever get an anvil, we'll be able to use any metal we find to make armor...If there is metal 'round here"
"Oh, Grukol, by the way. We also found some Moss Agate." he speaks while shrugging.
"Not really great, but eh. We could trade it perhaps?" he suggests. Grukol looks at the green crystal.
"No, stow it somewhere. We may need it for something some day." he turns his back to Valcon and plants another Plump Helmet.
------------------------

OOC: For being such a "terrifying" biome it's been awfully slow in terms of Evil creatures. So far, I've only seen the Werewolf, a pack of wolves, and a cougar. And the Wolves ran off to the west, never to be seen again. The Werewolf kinda popped up on Skadi. She literally skewered its head off. Somehow. The Cougar is just chilling off to the East. Now I'm just building out Rooms for immigrants, using my wood to build Catapult parts and Beds. I have a stockpile of stones near Starfall, which Vag is taking to as we speak. But I may stop her for a bit, while I build some walls around the entrance and the Cabin. I may update later tonight. Or tomorrow morning. I figure 2-4 posts will progress quite nicely

The fight between Akroma and the Werewolf lasted quite long, and was a blast to watch. He had several yellow and one dark yellow wounds. Mostly around his legs. Yet even on his injured legs he was either latching on, or just violently tearing at the werewolf. By the time I saw your lower body fly off in a random direction and your head go in another direction. You had somehow punctured his lung or injured his head (his head was yellow, his chest was dark yellow), and it was slipping in and out of consciousness. That's when Skadi came back and Stabbed it once with her spear. and it fell to the ground instantly.
