I shall take any child or baby that isn't the property of another person, and it/he/she shall be named "Antisplime".

It looks like we got a young one for the executioner's chamber, and it's parents too  ;)

Oh, a name! Good point.  Call him "Zissou."

Glorious Commander's Log, 1st of Moonstone
I met a few people today, after I was bored and started talking to random people:

I met Snugglebear, a furnace operator who likes green glass. He talks about making a sort of cavern in which to observe the aquifer... he's a bit odd.

2nd of Moonstone
Today, I met a baby named Antisplime. I really hope there is an explanation for this, or I'll have the the parents executed, and the child renamed. Killing children is evil, so his life will of course be spared...

3rd of Moonstone
I asked Antisplime's mother for the meaning of this, and I found out that it was the baby's father who named him with that atrocity of a name. Speaking of atrocities, I saw a zombie polar bear in the distance today. Damn, it was creepy.

4th of Moonstone
I spoke more with Antisplime's mother, enough to find out that she is named Luckymoose. That's an odd name.

10th of Moonstone
I beginning to not like the hunting platform idea so much, since there are more valuable ways to use our resources...

15th of Moonstone
I have gone ahead and labelled the father of Antisplime a Treacherous Criminal, and I have sentenced him to execution. Muahahahahahahahaha. Funny story though, I almost sent the wrong guy to execution. Oops. While this was happening, the clanging of cages was heard, as more goblin baby-snatchers had been captured. I'll use them later on, but not for this execution.

17th of Moonstone
After letting the treacherous criminal starve for two days, I have sent a planter to pull the lever which will kill crooked baby-namer. However, I have decided to have the baby keep its name, as it will serve as a lesson for all. While the water was rushing in, Luckymoose gave birth to a boy. We'll have to see how Luckymoose names this one. In all the commotion, more cages dropped, as more goblin baby-snatchers came. Then, after someone else checked, the treacherous baby-namer was killed, and there was rejoicing from me!

10th of Opal
I checked with the wounded wrestlers, and one of the wrestler's shows some signs of improvement. However, both are still bedridden, and of course I can't send them to execution since they can't walk.

11th of Opal
Antisplime has celebrated his 1st birthday, and I just today realized that he was named with the horrible name a full year ago. I think something is happening. I've ordered all work on major projects to stop. Except for mine.

26th of Opal
The hunting platform collapsed today. OK, so I sent someone to pull the lever to destroy the platform. Still, It had to be done. I am now getting it sealed off, and everything removed. Also, I will have it filled with water. Why did I do this? Because I don't see the point for a hunting platform.

10th of Obsidian
The underground storage areas beneath the platform are now being filled with water. Atollebes seems to be angry, since she has put quite a bit of work into the project. However, earlier I noticed that there were two bedrooms carved out inside the platform. I'll have to investigate further.

1st of Granite, 1054
It's a new year now, so I've tasked Atollebes with creating a new map of the fortress.

----

Oh, Snugglebear, I only saw your post after I made this, so consider the name changed despite what is shown above.

Oh, this is the most hilarious thing I've read all day. I've caused the death of my own father, causing Luckymoose to be stuck with only two children forever.

Or will widows remarry?

Atollebes's thoughts, 26th of Opal
Executions and the dissolution of the hunting platform. I am not sure if even my thougts are safe anymore! I regret coming along, now I am trapped by binding contracts under the power of the insane lord splime. Even my attempt at faking my own death has failed.

Atollebes's thoughts, 10th of Obsidian
Zikāth! I think I'm going to be sick...
*Puking*
The bedrooms that I was working on were discovered, and the storage rooms, and everything else! I must think, that's it! If I am confronted, I will apologize for letting his beautiful winter mansion be demolished, and insist I was foolish from not letting him know of the gift we were working on for him. Perhaps... no, I do not think I can go with that...

***

Atollebes's Journal, 26th of Opal
Lord Splime has ordered the lever pulled and the hunting platform felled. I'm not quite sure why, but who am I to argue with our glorious leader. It was a lot of work, but his will be done!

Atollebes's Journal, 10th of Obsidian
I had thought to keep the information of the hidden winter mansion concealed from Lord Splime, but he has discovered it. It is a great shame of mine, to have hidden it so well that he had destroyed the hunting platform without knowing of the greatness we were working on below for him. I will have to think of some other grand tribute to gift to him instead.

Antisplime's Thoughts, 17th of Moonstone:

Waaaaah! Waaaaaaaaaaah! Waaaaaaaaaah! Waaaaaaaaaah!

His mother gives him a sip of dwarven ale from his -felsite bottle-.

Waaah. Goo, goo. Zzzzz...

Glorious Commander's Log, 1st of Granite, 1054
I've discussed the aquifer observatory project with Zissou further, and I've rejected it. After the hunting platform, I can't afford to have a project start before I stop it, unless it's designed to glorify me.

2nd of Granite
I just checked, and we only have one injured wrestler now! The other has healed fully! Just in time for the elven seige... I mean, trade.

6th of Granite
I've assigned a useless herbalist to fight the three goblins we've captured... this'll be fun, that's for sure. I also decided to ban the export of anvils, just for the hell of it.

8th of Granite
I've told the herbalist he is beig stationed there to protect from attack from cave bats... and he bought it! Damn, some people are really gullible.

14th of Granite
Apparently, it takes time to set up the levers for fights... this sucks. Also, I told the gullible idiot that he has to sleep in the arena, since bats can strike without warning. Also, his official profession name is "Gullible Idiot". I'm having so much fun with this guy.

17th of Granite
As I await the construction of the cage mechanisms, the damn elves show up... I'm quite unhappy.

20th of Granite
The elves have finally arrived. Also, the levers and cages are almost set up...

24th of Granite
I finally got around to trading, useless crap as always. On the bright side though, we did get some wood, which is useful, seeing that we have none that grows down here. Once I finished the trade, I ordered the arena floor closed off, so the fighting could start... I don't think the gullible idiot stands a chance...

And then, an ambush. I heard elves shouting, "Eek! An ambush! They might damage our precious cloth!" I didn't believe them, but then Dwolin confirmed this for me. So, I closed off the fortress. Sucks for the elves, who are trapped inside. What was entertaining though was that an elf was caught outside, and killed by goblins.

I also ordered the arena cages opened, so that the fight could begin. Actually, I pulled the lever myself. Sadly, there wasn't any real fight. The goblins knocked the gullible idiot unconcious in one blow. So, I got the real troops in there. The idiot bled to death, as it turns out, since the goblins wouldn't strike an unconcious dwarf... (Lucky for the dwarf, he had only 2 friedns, and 1 grudge...) The real troops took care of the goblins in a flash. They left a lot of blood stains though.

6th of Slate
I got a bit bored, so I let down the drawbridge, in order to kill the last elf remaining. It was fun. Let's just say, there was a bad case of dead elf. Then, the goblins almost got in, but they foolishly walked into our cage traps... We now have a few goblin lashers.

I haven't seen so much as a trace of Splime for ages.  I'm pretty sure this has kicked the bucket.

I'd like a dwarf called maggarg, preferably male, and preferably an axedwarf.
If not, I might as well be a blacksmith.
If that's ok of course.
