oh hai  :)

Nice to see that people are interested.
Qualifications sounds interesting, but would be only usefull if there are more players.
I plan to make more tournaments if this runs okay.
So there will probably be a training thread, teambattles sound cool too.
But thats stuff for later times.

Actually I'm writing calculating n stuff but I doubt I'll finish today because of reallife. Sorry for that.
But everybody will get mails from Bunny this weekend. I swear!  ;)

Important question:  Are we allowed to turn off invaders in the init?  You said we can turn things off, but sieges don't really impact speed that much and they have a huge impact on gameplay.  Of course they also mean a lot of free stuff, but...

5 years in-game maximum, if you haven't finished 5 years in 14 days you will have to hand it in like it is.

also, good question

I'd say fortress management means also dealing with all threats, so ambushes and sieges stay

Could you please clarify this:

satisfied nobles     for every   overall royal rooms    30 points

I can interpret that in two different ways:  Either "Each noble who has all his needed rooms met with royal-class rooms is worth 30 points", or "A noble is worth 30 points for each room he is satisfied with".  I would have expected a third interpretation, "Each noble who has all his rooms met, regardless of quality as long as it is good enough for his requirements, is worth 30 points" but I'm not sure if that's quite right.

Also do appointed nobles count for this?  IE sheriff, manager etc. who have rooms but who aren't hereditary nobles.

And is there an ingame limit of 5 years? Or two real weeks.

You may pick any location you want, but not bigger than 4x4 squares.

As Akroma said maximum timelimit is 5 years. If you only reached 4,3 years when the 2 weeks are over, you can send us the fort for evaluation too though, the others just did have more time to get points though.

If you decide to turn off invasions, you just would have less recources for getting points, especially the free exp. So I don't have a problem if you turn it off. Just ask yourself: "Do I get some positive effects out of this, the other won't get if they don't think on <insert>. And would I have problems if the others find some clues, which make them win against me if I don't think on them?"
I would ask you to play DF as it is, with weather, temperature n stuff, but you'll surely have your reasons.
Remember this is just a funcontest in a funforum of a funvideogame. So just let us have some fun  :)

quote:
satisfied nobles for every overall royal rooms 30 points

Yeah this may be a bit missunderstandingly.

You will get 30 points for every noble who is satisfied with everything (inspectable at <n> <enter> )
AND has the 4 types of rooms in royal quality. ( bed-, dining-, throneroom, and tomb)
This is to make sure nobody uses the exploit giving every noble the same extremely polished room.
Nobles are the Baron, Baronconsort, Hammerer, Taxcollector, Philosopher, Dungeonmaster, Mayor, and Captain of the Guard.
Organizer/Appraiser/Bookkeeper does not count because of another exploit.

Riemann you are in.  :)

Rulechange: At the end of the elimination 3 operators will get kicked out.
