If one sees such a being; run away, unless you like the idea of joining their ranks.

No, that would be madness.

Damn near everything. The Black Brigands really only care about keeping them in line, not what they're doing at any given moment.

Bait.
Male.

To be used only in hippo hunting- that is, drawing them into a trap to be killed. Certainly expendable...

If the trap's to much trouble, than send me out naked to wrestle a hippo. Wouldn't want to get blood on some perfectly good clothes, would you?

Diary of Psycho, 4th of Felsite.
We've decided to let these migrants pass our gates. Our new 'citizens', are named Grimm, Imp, Mel, Mister, Erendor, one identified only as 'That Damn Mute', a child named Sigurd, a child named Sandono, Bask, and, finally, Jimbob. All other details are, of course, irrelevant. So long as they can move the goods, and do all sort of manual labour, we're happy.

Diary of Psycho. 17th of Felsite.
I've decided it's about time we got some nice smoothing going on, so I don't feel like I'm squatting in a cave. I've ordered the slaves to begin smoothing our section. Not, of course, their own, however. I don't care if they feel like they're living in a cave.

My colleagues seem pleased with this turn of events.

Diary of Psycho. 22nd of Felsite.
Sweet mercy! The lady Mummu has begun foaming at the mouth and speaking a strange tongue.
She ran, babbling, past a handful of disconcerted slaves, and seized control of a mason's workshop.
Having grabbed a considerable amount of Alunite, she set to work, muttering the words Amkollisid Ethzuthecum!

The others don't know what to make of this, and are unnerved.

Diary of Psycho. 27th of Felsite.
Her work is finally complete, Amkollisid Ethzuthecem, a coffer.
In the traditional tongue it means Councelclashed the Insensitive Tube of Busting.
I don't know why it's named that, but you don't argue with crazy people.
There's a picture on it of a dwarf making a plaintive gesture.

The Diary of Psycho. 23rd of Limestone.
Today we finished hasty reconstruction of our caravan trap, as the dwarven caravan arrived.

Unfortunately, kobolds and goblin thieves arrived with it, sneaking their way into the complex.

We managed to kill them all, but Sigurd and Sandono were very nearly made off with.

Diary of Psycho. 25th of Limestone.
Eight caravans in total! Eight! The merchants have brought us some serious goods this year, to be certain!
It didn't take us long to pull that lever, let me tell you that!

Diary of Psycho. 21st of Sandstone.
All this smoothing and engraving must have gone to the dwarf Mister's head. She's babbling about making something or other, and has taken control of a crafts workshop.

Had the previous occassions when this has occurred not been so lucrative, I would be disinclined to allow her to continue.

As it stands, she got her chunks of obsidian, and some bismuth bars. It's not as if any of it is particularly valuable.

Diary of Psycho. 28th of Sandstone
After much work (for some reason), Mister has come away with Morusvakist (The Uncommon Lace), an obsidian mug.
It's fairly unimpressive, only valued at 13200 coin, and I don't know how you're supposed to use it because it has spikes of bismuth all over it.
