The marksdwarf who lead the last migrant influx here, Zak, has become increasingly melancholy. I have seen him loitering by one of our Craftsdwarf shops which I have ordered shut down until such time as our healthcare crisis is resolved. I would speak with him, but he seems to not be causing any trouble, meanwhile some of our pig iron bars have disappeared, and I need to look into it as these items are vital to our mission here.

Ingish, one of our hammerdwarves, died of thirst. What is going on with our healthcare system? We have several wounded dwarves and several healthy ones assigned to take care of them, but in the middle of their task they stop and stand there, vacant-eyed
Is this witchcraft?!

Zak barged into my office today as I was having a meeting with Bob the medic about the disturbing disease that has taken hold of our healthcare professionals. He carried with him a toy that
well, which radiated with craftsdwarfship of the likes I have never seen! He named the toy Likot Volal, the Inkes of Whiteness. I found this to be a little odd, since the felsite toy axe was neither white nor inky in any manner. My keen tradesdwarfs eye values it at 44400, but I would never ship this trinket anywhere in the world. It is encrusted with alunite and shell opal, studded with pig iron and encircled with bands of alunite. It menaces with spikes of Felsite. On the item is an image of a goblin and a dwarf in pig iron. The dwarf is striking down the goblin. On the item is an image of a dwarf and dwarves in perch bone. The dwarf is surrounded by the dwarves. On the item is an image of a dwarf and dwarves in pig tail. The Dwarf is surrounded by the dwarves.
Bob and I sat speechless for several moments while Zak explained the glorious work to us.
The image of a goblin and a dwarf in pig iron, in which the dwarf is striking down the goblin, is one of the cleanest cut images of Ustuth the Carpenter with his burly fists gripping the head of a freshly slain goblin, as many did witness occurring on the steppes outside the great magma pipe.
The image of a dwarf and dwarves in perch bone, in which the dwarf is surrounded by dwarves, is a fairly accurate account of the statue of Boatsmoke and the day in which we paid our respects.
The final image of a dwarf surrounded by dwarves in pig tail is of Zak himself, holding a miniature version of his new toy axe high for all to view. Ordinarily I would consider this to be the highest form of self-centered boasting, but
well, youd have to see the damn toy axe! Its brilliant!
I imagine Zak will get his wish soon.
