I'll take the Plantbrewer.
Name:Frodo
Profession:Plant lord
Equipment:
-3 copper cages
-the rest into meat of some kind

Deathtrap idea: animal pit. Place some kind of wild animal into a pit and use retracting bridges to drop dwarves in.

I use grates to drop dwarves done levels when I don't want them to get back up.

t''s so sad.  It''s as if De Beers as invaded Dwarf Fortress.  I nearly cried when I saw how valued and rare diamonds were in Dwarf Fortress.

And said cheat would induce a killing spiral that ends the fortress.) The hammerer does deal punishment but he arrives with the baron at 80+ population. That would take a while. You can have him, or I can make you the sherrif if you like, then you'd only have to wait until the population is at 20. Shouldn't be too long. You name it..</STRONG>

Yes. Sherrif sounds good.

That Dwarven Terrarium plan over in Dwarf Mode Discussion would be a suitably cruel use of any prisoners who develop legendary skills while waiting to die.

The prison is going to need plenty of nasty ideas.

Nasty ideas are a little limited without magma.

Carnage awaits you! Welcome indeed.

@Aardvark: okayz, I will make you the sherrif when that becomes possible.

I would love a chance at the steelbender.  Just take whatever the dwarf loves and give his as much of it as you can.

Woohoo all there.. Now I can finally embark!

I will post all profiles shortly, so you can write a little background story.
Then I'm off to build the first setup.

Oh, and since rope reeds have been banned by the King, they have been replaced by another strong plant fibre which is common in my country..

Oh yeah, excellent.  He is awesome!

Now all that's needed is to have hunting active so I can wander around  in chainmail with a quiver full of bolts all day.  I just hope there's nothing to actually hunt else I can't wear my favorite gear and work, and I just know with so few of us working....

Ah yes, the single minded pursuit of all my desires.  Does anything else truly make a dwarf happy?

Except the killings I mean.

Yar, ye better not be thinking of taking me steel crossbow.  Anyways my guy has an interesting personality.  It's nice to know that it isn't completely contradictory to itself.  I was hoping to establish a uprising but I'll probably have to change my tune a bit with that kind of personality.  Also you mind putting those dogs up for adoption?  My guy likes dogs.

A suggestion.  To keep the jailers from becoming friends with the convicts, you should probably separate the surface place where the convicts are housed and the entrance to the underground world with some floodgates.  Use your imagination but it's really up to you.  I just like the look of floodgates.  Preferably three tiles wide.
