that drained the water right to the surface and let it flow off-map. The only problem was the powering - water-wheel system that relied upon the drained water itself to create enough power failed compleatly, so I had to use the power of wind.
In 38a I'm having some troubles with the water, though.
Hmm. Did you dump the water back into the river, or just flow it out over some bare terrain? I'm a bit leery about just letting it slide off on open ground, for fear it might spread back and cause problems.
For waterfalls and the like, if I don't have a chasm, I'd rather just have an isolated pump and fall setup. I don't think water actually gets converted into mist, so refilling shouldn't be that much of a problem. Bucket brigade to the rescue!
Hmm. Just thought of something. Dwarven fire department, in charge of extinguishing fiery mittens with buckets of water.
Anyways, back on track, should we pick up stuff like overdecorated Elven wood swords? They're harder to keep track of, but it's an exotic item and might be interesting to find somewhere. Pity we can't assign items to chests or the like, we could've made display cases (clear glass coffers with impressive items inside, anyone?).
