very likely, just reload till the party fits the general demand of genders out there, you can set the names as nicknames...either ingame or on embark so that doesn't matter... Also could i be a metalsmith/blacksmith/armourer/weaponsmith?
and be called Jayfrin?

I would like to claim the first Peasant dwarf that comes in immigration and be drafted in the military. From there he will fight up the ranks and become the leader of his own squad. They will call this champion Trask.

Hopefully he wont randomly die right away.

Ok sorry this took so long had a lot to do and not much time, this update is mainyl to let you know that we have arrived finnaly (despite about 5 cases of embarking to the wrong place/having wrong skills).

1st Granite: So we have finnaly arrived, the provisions i supplied have been exhausted on our trip here so i drew up a list of supplies:

I have drawn up a few plans and handed my pick over to Vugor, my main worry at the moment is how we can hope to bring water from the river at the bottom of the hill into the cliff for irrigation.

Infact scratch that last remark my main concern now are the 2 heards of skeletal elephants half a dozen groups of skeletal warthogs and those skeletal bonobo. I fear a single axe may not be enough!

---------------------------------------------------

Ok so i changed where we are embarking to to a sinister scorching shrubland in the hope that we would be more likely to get elephants, been a while since 2d so im not sure where they will turn up but fingers crossed. only got one lesson tommorrow so i ought to ge in some playtime then, after that im off on holiday so unless i can get internet no updates for a week, school hols after that though so lots of update time then.

Does the 2d version run faster with higher numbers of dwarves? I have always wanted to try it.

8th Granite: We have a small cave hollowed out in the cliff face here we can shelter from the blazing sun, those elephants are far too close for comfort we should put as much distance and as many traps between us and them as possible, fortuantely we have got our first trap up at the entrance, a cage trap. Momuz suprised me by deciding that a basic knowledge of bone carving qualified him to create the obsidian swords Ibzuth said he needed for more traps. I have also decided to take up capentry as we lack a qualified carpenter, my first creation was a wooden shield for Sgt Pepper and now i work in the blazing sun on beds.

15th

we have struck a river in the cave!!! Should we ever run out of alcohol we will no longer need to brave the undead to get a drink, I think I see shapes moving in the water though... I have decided to take it upon myself to design a bridge to take as to the other side of the river.

27th
Vugor has finished building the bridge I designed. It is rickety made from rough boulders but it will serve
