Jamini hasn't posted for a month, and judging from the last post (along the lines of, "sorry for the delay, I'll be back to the RTD soon!" it sounds like life hit and hit hard.

So yeah, talk to Toady about a new legends thread or giving someone other than Jamini the editing rights.

i just read A Kobold's Quest and didn't want to necro the thread so posted here.
it is just a truly amazing story. honestly there was a print version of it i wiould snap it up as soon as it came available.

Something about the community of Dwarf Fortress allows an unusually high number of epic tales of the highest quality. and they shine through. Even forum games can become truly great works. i have never come across a community such as this, not had such enjoyment from reading a forum.
This thread was an excellent idea, i would never have found many any of these great stories. i look forward to reading the ones i haven't yet
