I'm currently reading Multiworld Madness. The link is

http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?topic=24188.0

I'm only on page 15 and think that's it's very amusing. To be honest I'm surprised I haven't seen anything like it recently, except perhaps for the tendency for people to want to acrue god-like powers.

For future reference, include links to recommendations.

It wouldn't quite be at legend status yet but keep an eye on Lanternwebs there is some brilliant writing going on there.

How do we work in MM? Becuase I definitly agree that it should be a legend.

One day, we shall all look back on this, and laugh. Sorry about the face, by the way, and the legs, and the eyes, and the arms. In fact, sorry 'bout the whole body.

Methinks that the chronicles of the fall of flamegate should be added.

What an honor to see Pirates listed next to such wonderful stories.  Thank you.  Truly.

Also, I didn't do it alone and never could have, so thank you also to everyone who participated and helped me and reminded me of the joy of being part of such a great community.  I miss you guys.

I hope I can one day continue it, but, sadly, that day is not today, and I'm going one day at a time.  For now, I will live my DF dreams vicariously through these and other stories so keep on writing and playing, if for no other reason than to keep me sane.

Be well,

I nominate The Eternal Halls, seeing as it's the third longest thread in this forum behind Migrursut and Nist Akath.

Technically 4th.  Battle of the Gods II was waged in Community Games and Stories.

Also, Long != Good.  Still, I haven't read the Eternal Halls, so it might be great.  I suppose I should get around to reading it.

The eternal halls is the world's longest running continuous disaster.

Another sign of Succession/Community Game success is whether it produces art.  Like mine-

I would like to re-nominate Urist Salvedangers because when I first nominated it, it was because the premise was awesome, but the story is has now evolved into an epic showcase of the insanity of a ruler, and the brutality of DF players.

Has anyone nominated Sebshoskeshan yet? If not, then I want to nominate it. It's an excellent story, weaving together an archeological expedition in the present with the record of a fort in the past, with hints of a greater mystery lying behind it all. It certainly is one of the most interesting community stories I've encountered, anyway.
