Moar goblin sieges.

Never done it myself, but I've heard stories about sieges popping up in the first year because of the removal of that tag.

Ranged weapons are only slightly annoying, once you are prepped for them they aren't that big a deal.

Oh, I think I've heard that somewhere, but good to double-check. I wouldn't mind any changes you guys make to goblins, but only because I'm going later and won't have to worry about setting up defenses/military :P
And yes, few trees, sedimentary layer will work. Trying to play on a magma map without a sedimentary layer is a pain, as I just learned from one of my recent forays.

I like this idea. A Dwarf Fortress succession game without any crazy rules or odd goals. It's just a succession game, and it knows it is. Sign me up!

I'd love to get in on this.  I've wanted to play in a succession game for a while now.

the world is really strange its a 17x256 and hummans and goblins are on the west side then there is a ocean in the middle and then dwarfs and elves on the east side.

the red shows my idea of a starting spot if you want a harder starting spot just say so (but remember baby snatcher is off so it will all ready be hard)

if any one wants a different world just say so

Hey would I be able to get in on this? It would be my first succession game, and after reading of Boatmurdered and Nist Akath my interest in this sort of thing is piqued. I Believe the 12th slot is open if you'll have me.

All I can think of when I see the map is some kind of ring world, but spread flat. Kind of trippy, honestly.
