The next update will probably come out at about the same time as the next release. Which begs the question, how will Ironblood defeat the wall of incompatibility?

He hasn't so far. I use older versions to play on in these cases.

Current status update: I've now reached the point where I can abandon my weapons making fortress and actually do adventure again.
So I'd say I should be able to get something along those lines done as of monday.

The next update will contain lots more of the Progeny (in fact everyone's dwarf since the ones who last died will be Progeny.)

Really?  In that case, I'll take a human bowman (with the sword skill, if at all possible).  He (keep the he in mind) shall be called Likhan, after my best adventurer to date. 

I've managed to take down multiple skeletal semi-megabeasts with him.  Normally with a single blow that knocks the head off, before I even notice I have run into the beast.  He should fit right in with Ironblood and the rest of the gang.

a man with a troubled past. mostly it involved diarrhea and indigestion but he was recently cured, he say, by the gods. as penance he took up an axe and swore to kill things. the general feeling is he is a bit loony.
