Save incompatability up ahead.
I guess the captain may have to start all over  :(.
I was looking forward to having Nist Akath's finest dominate the world.

Nah, he'll just keep a compatible version for Nist Akath.

I already have to do that. The new versions kill the fortress nearly immediately. Once the story is done, I will post the save in its final state. I'm not sure at all if it can even be abandoned safely, since my attempts will merely crash it.

However, obviously if anybody does manage to force it to abandon, that would be amazing and they could provide it to the community.

*******************
"So, Kodor, after that battle with the Chaos Lord, you can't have come straight here." Captain Ironblood observed, shifting the topic back to his brother's tale.

"Indeed not, brother. In fact, that only occurred back in the summer of 69."

"So presumably you did more than aimlessly wander with the young lady here."

"Well, yes. Truth be told, we did wander in that manner for some time. Saw the world, fell in love, etc. Certainly nothing as epic as we'd previously done. We tried in vain to uncover more information about the Progeny. Eventually, we figured fate had abandoned us, as we'd already cleared out the majority of the menaces in that region. We opted to try to settle down somewhere."

Melica chuckled at this. "We never did though. Always kept moving, right up until now. Did a lot of mercenary work, guarding traders and the like. I guess travelling was in our bones."

"So what happened?" asked the Captain.

[EDIT: unfortunate timing for this post]
Oooo!  A mini-update!
"Indeed not, brother. In fact, that only occurred back in the summer of 69."
Heh, bet those were the best days of his life. ;)

As a trivial first test, I made it keep track of the identity of blood spatters (the idea for that material type in general is that later if you have a vial of a particular somebody's blood, etc., it might come up in a magic system, etc.)
AH HAHAHA!  Imagine...imagine if this could be done with the captain.  That would be amazing.  Too bad about the save incompatability.  Still, I can't even begin to think of the insaneness that would be Ironblood's blood having magical powers.  In the centuries beyond, every adventurer in the world would search the terrifying tundras for the ruins of Nist Akath and the corpse of Ironblood – who's surname was almost prophetic – in order that they might drink of his lifeforce and become a minor god.

The image? On the previous page? It's gone.
Not that I'm super-complaining, I just want to know what Captain Ironblood looks like.

Dag-daggity-ag-nabbit.  I don't know what's the deal with blogger that so many people are unable to see it (I can still view it without problem, but that doesn't help anyone).  Hopefully this should help - I uploaded it to imageshack:
Capt. Ironblood

The problem is getting blood from him that's his own to start with.

It's been a long time since anything has made Ironblood bleed

Bruises are INTERNAL.

Bruises don't externally bleed, especially not on the Kidney.

Yeah, it was a brown brain wound. Does he still have nervous damage because of that?
