Dwarven blood types are not A, B, AB, O but Ale, Wine, Beer, Rum, Whisky and so forth.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

I've been following this for a long time.  It's sad to see it end, but it'd be sadder had it faded away without an ending.  The Captain and Nist Akath will forever be Bay 12 legends.  Beyond Quality, indeed.

Mayday, keep on rockin'!

Now, someone collate this and stick it on the Let's Play archive. It deserves no less.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Nist Akath is the straw that eventually saw me signing up to post on these forums. Thank you for such a wonderful tale and a satisfying conclusion. May your future forts bear similar, if less public, fruit.

Tolkien had a great secret: The dwarves of Moria didn't dig too deep. A prominent dwarf with lots of friends started tantruming and, well, you figure out what happened next.

Holy Schist!  :o

So this is how Nist Akath, one of the most epic tales since (and on par with) boatmurdered, ends.
An epic conclusion to a legendary story, well done Captain.

Hey Captain I have a question actually
How would the story have gone had the Hydra won?(Besides his Progeny powers activating) Could you give a Summary?

This is also an amazing Story by the way.

I think that was well before I had any ideas about the Progeny. So, Ironblood would have died, and the story would have turned into the populace taking sides in a bloody civil war.

First of all I'd like to thank everybody for their kind words.

Second of all I'd like to let you all know that with Bartavelle's help, the save for Nist Akath has been offloaded.
I am playing a new fort in the same world to pass the time, but I have also included a small number of heroes for you to recruit in the nearest Dwarven Capital
The new fort is intended for you to be a source of equipment, and also to be generally close to the dwarven capital as well as Nist Akath. It's a nice little fort, with rivers that only flow in the second month of summer, waterfalls, and of course a lower river that floods like crazy before being frozen.
