Hah... I was reading the first few pages looking for all the people who claimed you were doomed from the start. Proved 'em wrong, the Cap'n did!

We don't. The Captain was just trying to impress/scare the merchants.

you really took the best out of an location that virtually had nothing, unlike boatmurdered, which was guaranteed to have everything

When/if this ever ends, you should take all of your (Captain Mayday) posts, and paste em together. There you have Boatmurded quality tale.

Actually, Nist Akath benefited greatly from having an aquifer.

Helmaroc: Yeah, I was thinking of it.

Captain's Log. 16th of Timber.
Little to report today, apart from the new addition to Nok and Nosey's family.
A girl named Asėn, meaning Gravel in the traditional tongue.

Meanwhile, great progress is being made on the cat plague front.
With every kitten butchered, every meal is a feast. I'm sure that when the cats eventually all die of age, then the dinners will be a little blander, but that's some way off yet.
Baron Lorn is less than happy with this approach, but at least he hasn't had to give up his own cats to the butcher's block yet.

Captain's Log. 23rd of Timber.
Today the Baron mandated the construction of chains. I asked him what they were for but he just said it was a private concern and to stay out of it.

Captain's Log. 9th of Moonstone.
Further compounding the questions surrounding the Baron's mandate for chains, he has now had our miners digging a back room for him, extended from his bedroom. I can't think why he would want a secret room, but he expressed a need for privacy once again, when I approached him about it.

Captain's Log. 26th of Opal.
The Baron requested the construction of some rose gold blocks. He was quite specific about what he wanted made.
I've still no idea what this is for, and all work in the Baron's room has been carried out by Zonhin, who may know something, but won't tell even if he does.

It's probably some weird Noble thing, but I don't like secrets in my fort!

Haha... I love the contrast between the two Barons. Baron Dirty was a scheming, Machiavellian bastard, while Lorn is just a decadent fop. It's amusing.

I can't wait until the Cap'n hears screaming coming from the "Secret" room, rushing in to save the victim... and.... (Laughs out Loud)
