Actually, since I can't control the armor material you wear, you were wearing Masterwork Steel Plate mail.

Captain's Log. 26th of Timber.
Much work has been done. Much stone has been cleared.

And yet, we are always producing more more more!
I wonder if there will ever be an end to it.
I suppose there must be, but I doubt I'll see it in my lifetime.

The Great Tower's foundations are being laid, a great wound in the earth, descending to the very tombs of our fallen.
Truly a monument we can be proud of. It shall be the marker that will define Nist Akath.

I've also just recieved some unfortunate news. The young lad Sodel appears to be afflicted with the same creative need as has affected many before.
The boy is a good lad, and I've no wish to see his mind snap like a twig, so I hope our now vast fortress can provide him with the materials he needs.

Whats my poor dwarf up to? Last time I checked he was already a legendary swordwarf. Mayhaps he can excel elsewhere...

I can train him in other weapons if you like. He's not getting any further with swords, that's for sure.

As for what he's been up to, just keeping the peace, really.
He's a member of the Royal Guard, so he spends most of his time just sparring.
I'll shift both Gaul and Nosey over to training with crossbows.

If I'm alive (I lost track), I'd like to switch to Crossbows.

I'm curious about the current state of Glip (that was his name if I remember correctly), how's he coming along?

Nok likes crossbows. She'd probably like to switch over, too.
Provided she can hold one, what with her 2 (3?) kids...

Glip is legendary, may try swapping him to xbow if that's okay. I'll swap Nok as well.

Demosthenes, I forget, was your dwarf named Demosthenes?

Well, considering that the shape of the xbow means that it can effectively be used to bludgeon once his bolts run out, Glip sees no problem with upgrading to this new-fangled "long range hammer"

Just checked. Both your dwarves are long since dead.

As an additional note, I'm currently in the process of constructing tombs for all legendaries and heroes. Given the fact that approximately half of the dwarves are eligable means this is quite the task.

For all legendaries? My dwarf demands to be buried with his blade!

If not, he wants a Constructed ballista in his tomb!

Hmmm... I really can't resist being a part of this any longer. It's to awesome.
I think I will send a priestess for a change, if you ever get any migrants that is, describe her as a fanatic in a very long robe the same color as newly spillt blood or red-hot steel that covers her face completely so only the huge obsidian colored beard (this beard a strong effect on all male dwarves, even the captain, that she is completely unaware of) is visible, she always were black gloves, alzo all S in her zpeech iz replaced by Z. she is very secretive and never say enything about herself, nobody has ever seen anything of her except the beard, and nobody knows anything about her except that she's a important priestess in the temple of Armok. She should be like a noble, demand a temple and never work, but loves to pull levers. (I know this clothing conflicts whit actual in game facts, just pretend)
Being a part of this legend would be a great honor. *Armok bows, then evaporates*
