If you're still accepting, I'll take any dwarf at the next opportunity when you return

I'd like a dwarf too. I'd like him to become legendary in bookkeeping (if that's possible and doesn't intrude on the Cap'n), then engraving, then seige operator, then put him in the military. I realize that's a hassle, but I'd like an uberdwarf.

Name: Flame
Gender: Male
Profession: Any useless milker/thresher or whoever isn't useful, really

Captain's Log. 22nd of Obsidian.
While I usually like a sense of duty in my citizens, the Hammerer Toralnil has taken it to an extreme.
After I attempted to workaround the order of three hammerstrikes against an innocent, and valuable, member of our community, she has kept on about it.
I ordered the individual in question to wear full armour, and, indeed, had a set made just for him, just in case.

Eventually, today, my worst fears were realised, and she gave him the hammerstrikes. While he did sustain serious injury, despite his armour, I am fully certain he will heal, at least physically, from the experience.

That's why I never get the hammerer or when I do, just lock him in his own bedroom with his own little stash of booze and food that gets restocked when he's sleeping. I dont need some crazy bastard beating my dwarves when I've a big jail full of ☼Platinum Chains☼

Captain's Log. 15th of Granite.
Today the Elves entered our gates, as is their yearly wont.
I went to meet them in the trading depot, but as I did so the alarm was sounded.
Goblins were utilizing the opportunity to attack us.

Everyone was already inside, so I gave the order to close gates. We are more than capable of fighting them from behind our walls.

Captain's Log. 16th of Granite.
With the fortress sealed, the Elves won't be happy about being forced to stay underground. Bad enough they're forced to come through the wasteland, they say.

And yet, were they to venture out, they would be shot to pieces.

The thought does tempt.

Nevertheless, I've sent Nagash II, Akroma, and Erendor to fire on them from our walls.

Captain's Log. 4th of Slate.
The goblins have fled, overwhelmed by our continual barrage made from the safety of the fortress walls.
Mere hours after the last of them straggled off the battlefield, two dwarven migrants entered the area. From what I can gather, they had been camped some days, quietly watching the progress of the battle, waiting for the goblins to finally depart.
They were:

Umm... why does the Hammerer have competent grower?

"Hehheh, beat another parctically innocent dude to near death. Now it's the time to water the daisies/plump helmets."

You should give him a cat, too. Call him... "Mittens Gore-happy".

Also, is it possible to just make a crappy silver hammer and make him use that?

Then you'd have to name him Maxwell.

As a noble, I can't make him do anything. And the 'competent grower' bit is from harvesting plants

That must be some excessive flower-picking, 'cause at least the swarves in my fortress rarely get over dabbling.

Oh, wait, I've made the farmers the only ones to harvest stuff. My bad.

If I can I'd like to add a dwarf to the list:

This thread is made out of win and the cure for aids.

name: Ex-Mane
prof: Macedwarf
sex: Male

He's named that because (oh no!) his beard is shaven.
Also because it's kinda like my name.

Man, it seems that hunter will never come...ok just name a peasant Helm and he can be mine.

Helm is especially lazy and fat, and is never pleased and has to complain about everything. He often gets into trouble with his attitude, but he is a good person deep down.
