What... is your name: Balin
What... is your favoured profession: Miner
What... is your gender?: Male

P.S.  Some of you might remember Balin from a certain book.

I was like, ha, this looks like a pretty dumb and boring game. I was so wrong. Gentlemen, I have discovered true fun.

You're doing pretty well, just with farming related activities mainly.

As an additional note, we can add Eden to the group with heroic names.
Eden Goldencrystals the Everseeing Dangers of Spinning.

Captain's Log. 11th of Limestone.
The dwarven caravan arrives yet again, but this time things had changed somewhat since their last visit.
Our Grand Hall is complete. I was awaiting them to come and witness its filling.

Unfortunately the goblins arrived right behind them. Doubtlessly, they were waiting for the traders to show up at our gates, hoping to catch us unprepared.

As always, I immediately ordered everyone to come inside.
We now have access to the areas where the goblins like to wait, so there'll be no more sitting outside our range.

Aww... Baron Dirty died to skelks? Kind of anticlimactic.
I sort of hoped the death of his wife would drive him to even eviler ends.

Captain's Log. 17th of Sandstone.
We managed to end the occupation by simply damaging the raiders until they were no longer able to remain organised. After the Goblins left, so did the traders.

Unfortunately, with all the excitement outdoors, the ceremony for the opening of 'Zugobmafol', the Grand Chamber, was forgotten, and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Captain's Log. 7th of Timber.
Today we opened the Grand Hall. Xotes, BurnedToast, and myself were in attendance as the water streamed down from the ceiling high above us, splashing into the bottom of the pit in the center of the room.

I'm sure everybody will remember what they were doing at this moment.

**Note, I'm sorry but I can't upload the movie to the normal site, due to it being (just barely), too large. I have contacted DFMA and asked for them to upload it for me. The movie contains a tour of the fortress, with all current community members shown**

Captain's Log. 8th of Timber.
More migrants. I'm sure they'll just barely offset the mortality rate around here. Given that I've recruited half of them into the military, we might actually keep further deaths to a minimum.

We received a mere four migrants.

Captain's Log. 11th of Obsidian.
It has been a slow time here in Nist Akath this past while. With major projects being completed to the point where most work being performed is cleanup work that has been a long time coming.

We have begun the final stage of construction of the Great Stairwell, and construction of the Galleria of Heroes is well underway.

And yet, it's just routine work.

It was well that, today, the routine was interrupted as Keller and Zangief became proud parents to a baby girl. They named her Meng, which is traditional Dwarvish for Lash. Very cute.

if you want new interesting projects, build a tower

each level in a different colour

on top, build a huge sphere

what to put inside it ?
I have no idea

The Galleria is actually a pyramid-like structure that starts below ground. Apart from the statues ringing every level, there's no separate floors to speak of.

Is this where the captain will be buried or has he already got something else going for him?
