Captain's Log. 1st of Hematite.
It's summer now, or so the Calendar says.
The goblins still wait outside our walls. Outside our walls and outside our range, as if daring us to come after them.

I will not play into their hands so easily, however. We have more than enough supplies to last us until they die from starvation, or just get bored and go home.

Already planned are turrets, accessed via the underground, leading to key positions in the area. No longer shall any point be beyond our range.
For the time being, however, there is little we can do but wait them out.

Captain's Log. 12th of Hematite.
It appears only a few more casualties were required to shake the goblins resolve completely. They have once more fled the field, and we make provisions to establish remote towers, accessible by the tunnels underground.

Edit: After a game crash and reload, the goblins did not return as previously stated.

Instead, only the annoying Elven Noble arrived, not even the humans have arrived as yet. *shrugs*

The great thing is that all of this does happen in the game. I love the way you're telling this story, please don't stop.

Btw, is there an engraver named Miki yet? How's old zangief doing?

Bullion: will get one up soonish.

Shadowslasher: I was going to make one last migration wave, however no suitable candidates appeared. I will keep looking.

As for stopping, I'll be taking a couple days for a vacation this weekend, but I should resume shortly after.

Warning to Captain Mayday.  There's a bug in the new version that marks mined out tiles as above ground.  You won't be able to grow subterranean crops meaning your dwarves will go hungry.  I don't know if freezing temperatures will penetrate the walls, but I wouldn't take chances.  The last thing I want is this awesome story to end with a bug.

Oh yay! you started updating again!  :D

I really need to check this fourm more.

I hope, one day that I will brake free of being a so called "pawn"
Still outragous that I got put onto the "To be beaten" List with my profession. Just sounds stupid... thinking of how long my dwarf has been in the military, you'd think that long time military dwarfs can be exempt form Mandate beatings.

really... I have beat'en more nastys then the nobles have seen!

Also, what is "Adalore's" full title? I kinda want to use it for random stuff. Let alone with pictures... hmmm.
