Just messing with you. Don't apologize to me, apologize to the Lord of the Threads, Cap'n.

Didnt last that long.... can I have another crack at something else like a philsopher noble (or a dwarf with all labors turned off). Also can it live as a hermit outside? Name it Thoughtcrazed

Wow... I died in the most foolhardy way imaginable! Go me. Wish I'd at least put a dent in the over-sized lizard, though...

I don't want to be left out of the fun, though, so think I could have another military dwarf?

Name him or her Nok, and give him or her a weapon this time, please.   :p

To make things interesting, maybe Nok could be in league with the Baron?

Hmm.. I haven't been hearing much about my ol' boy Hesitris the Blue. I'm guessing he's been milling about with the 'common' group, not really doing much worth noting. Is he still doin' alright? Legendary brewer yet?  :D

I wouldn't mind too much, normally, but the Captain just has, let us call them 'episodes', he remembers most things quite clearly.
So there's already an established order of events.

Edit: Besides, a real rivalry between the two of them is much more interested than an imagined one.

Hesitris has roughly a million cats, and spends most of his time either planting or shopping. We should be able to get some real brewing going on now that we have a barrel and wood surplus.

Sure.
Kinneus was actually supposed to be holding a weapon.
I don't know why he wasn't.

Also, he didn't get torn apart at least.
The Dragon had to blast him with firebreath at point blank range.

General Note: I'll take on board suggestions of allegiance, and I'll give names as soon as possible. Just need another migrant wave, which will be in a bit.

Captain's Log. 11th of Galena.
Some idiot left the bath running. Now we have a farmer at the bottom of the cistern (somehow), and it's more a small indoor lake now than a safe bath house.
Damned stupid thing to do.
I'll have to make preparations to fix this problem.

Speaking of indoor lakes, however, preparations are being made for the construction of a vast hall, with a large central lake. It's going to be very impressive, even if it serves no other purpose than keeping a lot of the citizens in employment.

We've also been constructing a dolomite dining room in the yellow sand, to replace the dingy little one near the fortress gates.
It is coming along swimmingly, and is a good place to stick all the extra rock.

I would just point out that Psycho has been dead for about 2 years now, ever since the great Skelk insurgence.

Captain's Log. 4th of Limestone.
Murder.

In our ten years, its our first, as defined by the legal system.
The victim, our new Tax Collector, Lady Elegance. She was just passing through the larder areas, when she was attacked by a peasant.

The peasant's name: Sibrek Boltamazed.
Sibrek Boltamazed appears to be a serial offender.

Somehow he has managed to slip through the judicial system. Even after repeated beatings, a hammering, and incarcerated, he refuses to learn from his mistakes.
Strangely, his punishment was scrapped for the murder.

Only a handful of dwarves have the power to do something like that.
Myself, of course, and the Baron and Baroness.

I will need to investigate further.

Tax collectors really do not seem to have a long lifespan in this fortress. Perhaps some royal guard to keep the next one safe may be in order =P

Captain's Log. 10th of Limestone.
It appears our murderer has entered a black mood. He is extremely depress.

I have no sympathy for murderers.

But it begs the question, why is he acting like this if he had decided upon Lady Elegant's murder?
Why did Lady Elegant warrant being murdered?

Why, unless it was because she refused to ally with the Baron?
It is the only conclusion I can come to. The Lady refused the Baron, and he used a repeat offender to have her killed.
The murderer kills her, but is overcome by guilt afterwards.
It made sense.

I checked the offender's account details. He did not own anything particularly impressive, but that could just mean he had not declared the payment, or that it had not been paid yet.

Sibrek remains tightlipped. He won't speak to anyone about anything. He just sits in the goods stockpile, sobbing.
