Boatmurdered is horribly written. I tried to read it, but got frustrated by how much it sucked. Nist Akath is way better.

the ultimate success versus the ultimate failure.
But failure is what Dwarf Fortress is all about! Boatmurdered is the perfect example for when everything goes wahoonie-shaped.
Do we really need to decide? Nist Akath isn't a succession fort and Boatmurdered isn't about a story. They're both awesome!
It's true, some parts of Boatmurdered are boring, but there are also parts and characters which are funny as hell.
I'd say, we shouldn't compare these two. They are both legendary.

Agreed.  They are in every way polar opposites; there is nothing to compare.  Which I think is fairly awesome.  Another thing worth noting is that Boatmurdered had everything and Nist Akath had hardly anything.

Boatsmurdered is where dwarves go for a fiery death.

Nist Akath is where they go to be come legends, or die trying.

Just finished reading this Epic Tale. Simply astounding, I haven't had this much fun reading a Dwarf Fortress story since I finished Boatmurdered.

Whenever I play Dwarf Fortress or read other people's stories I'm always reminded a little bit of Discworld. I don't know why. Maybe it's just the zaniness, like anything that can go wrong will usually eventually go wrong.

That just about sums up the fun in this game.

Nist Akath really is a story-driven fort, much like Migrursut. Boatmurdered was just a complete train wreck; it was absolutely hilarious in it's inane messes after inane messes, and the attempts to correct those messes.

Nist and Mig both use entertaining characters to draw in and entrance the readers. I've been seriously tempted to copy-paste the entire story portion of both into openoffice files for archival purposes. I came too late to get in at the beginning.

I love how people on the internet seem to think they're always right. I also love the stupid arguments they make.

Thats because people on the internet are the same people they are in real life. Just because they are anonymous doesn't make the arguments stupid. Especially not this one.

There, now your getting it. Or just shutting me up. Either way, Boatmurdered is better as it illustrates the greatest fact behind DF: losing is fun!

Remember, this isn't about whats better, everyone has opinions, quote Yahtzee till your sides bleed.

Heeeeey. You think you are right! This is hypocrisy! I am only willing to listen agree with you should you be neutral. Otherwise... This is the internet, after all.

I personally think this would benefit from something truly terrible, as it seems that the Dwarf's here have discovered the method of god mode.

Oh, and Boatmurdered is the best of them all.

So you accuse everyone else of having stupid arguments because you think you are right. That you think you are right isn't a bad thing in of itself. That you think are right and believe everyone else has written stupid arguments is a fallacy.

and yes
Oh. Ah. Urgh. *covers eyes*

that was just to prevent an argument. But now...

Someone is wrong on the internet.

Something is not wrong on the internet, its the internet that is wrong.

Suck it, internet!
