Captain's Log. 6th of Opal.
An eventful day. Today marked the opening of the first shop, which I currently have to manage (but I'll happily sell it to anyone who wants this kind of burden.)

More importantly, there was a problem on the surface.

Another Titan. This one a woman. Again, totally naked.
I'll give the lads credit, even though they'll never live it down, they didn't stay their weapons from the crazy giant naked woman.

I personally congratulated each of them. Sula was in bed resting at the time, as he distracted the titan while the others landed blow after blow.
Once again, when I recommended a medal to the Baron, he declined.
He didn't even decline properly, he just smirked smugly and walked away.
His pet Hammerer was there at the time, or I swear...
The dwarf infuriates me!

I apoligized to the young team. Xeno reassured me it was fine. He told me that they'd much rather have my thanks than some medal bestowed by the Baron.

I get the feeling their opinion of the Baron matches mine quite closely.

If you haven't got a player for the Hammerer yet, slide me in.

Yay for me!
Edit: Burnedtoast is still alive? Can I see his wounds, wasn't his lower body mangled on page 2 or 3?

He's amazingly in perfect health.
He has Strong, Perfectly Agile, and Superdwarvenly Tough, you see.
Xotes, who has done far less in the 10 years, has Extremely Strong, and Very Agile.

Captain's Log. 1st of Granite.
I can't believe it. Ten whole years in this hell hole. I suppose if anything, these ten years have hardened me up, far beyond the possibilities granted from trading.

We have finally completed the main stage of the main access shaft project.
This will greatly enhance accessibility between the upper levels and lower levels.

The bathhouse is very nearly complete. All that remains are some final touches, and then we will open the water gates to fill it.

I have not had any further altercations with Baron Dirty, yet. I am still solidifying a political position against him. Xotes has assisted me by granting the names of contacts I can use to establish my political foothold at Dirty's old mountainhome.

The Journal of Baron Dirty. 16th of Granite.
How irritating. That Captain Ironblood will be held accountable for this!
I had to meet with ELVES!
Disgusting.

They're all completely mad. The one I met said we had done well not to harm a single tree!

I mean, at most other fortresses, that would be an achievement, but here, there are no trees!

I was astounded that he would bring this up while sitting at a table and chair made of wood! Complete nutter!

On that subject I will have to have somebody beaten for the travesty of having to conduct this meeting in the dining room. A disgrace!
Ironblood said he was going to prepare an office for me and he has not made good. He's been too busy with some silly staircase!

I'll have so select a friend of his to punish appropriately!
At least the filthy thing departed quickly. Probably prancing through all the non-existent trees we haven't cut down.

Captain's Log. 11th of Slate.
Apparently one of the workers had one of those 'moods'. Unlike practically every other time, this one actually yielded a nice piece of craft.
A dolomite bracelet, I know, sounds crummy so far, but it's value is over 100,000! Incredible.

She named it 'Gashcoz Dakon', or The Proliferation of Omen.
Personally I don't like the sound of that very much, but what can you do?
I don't know how anyone will wear the thing, it's got all sorts of different spikes all over it. Seems like it would be a painful exercise.

In more industrious news, I placed the last stair in the main access shaft myself, today. It's wonderful! All that is required now is to cap it on the surface, to prevent uninvited guests from literally dropping in.

Captain's Log. 22nd of Slate.
It appears the Baron is up to his old tricks. He's had our master tailor, a good friend of mine, imprisoned for failing to produce war hammers.
I have no idea how he can even begin to justify that, but at least it isn't a hammering like last time.
