Common misconception. I've talked with Cap. Mayday not too long ago, and apparently Ironblood can still spar (If Mayday doesn't care about the survival of his recruits). Thus, no brain damage.

Rather, it was simply a gaping head wound. (Definatly not DF companion)

common misconception

Ironblood can indeed, heal his own brain wounds, or any mortal wound for that matter. He also had both cancer and aids, but defeated them in a wrestling match.

Wow this is one of the best stories of Dwarf Fortress. I am still reading the whole thing. Because the fort is so old, did somebody died of old age yet?

Was Ironblood one of the original 7? are the original 7 still alive? I wonder how old  they will be.

Ironblood was the original leader. If you check page one, you can see the screenshot of his personality profile during embarkation.

I thought Xotes was still alive, farming stuff.  I can't remember if anything changed in the meantime though.

Considering that the new update is going to include a ton of stuff i don't think it will be compatible with Nist's save file. And AFAIK you can use companion to get past cliffs, just give things a flying tag.

Also, what year is the fort in now?

Doler 12: Nist Akath does not readily lend itself to death by old age.

Khosan: Yes, Xotes is alive.

Akroma: Nearly everybody is buried on the bottom level. Also, to have a point of interest for everybody's grave would be maddening.

Asehujiko: I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be. Even if it isn't, I'll still play the next section of the story in the new version before reverting back to the older version for Nist's save. Also, it's in about year 32.

So, I'm seeing an interesting combination of a few facts

What conclusion do you draw from these?
a) Kobolds are widely known as not understanding the concept of property
b) Nevertheless, they appear to be exclusively trying to steal artifacts
c) These artifacts are being used as part of an ancient evil ritual.
d) The ritual is being performed by allies of goblins, who tend to be enemies of kobolds.

That's right.  The kobold thieves are actually adventurers trying to save the world.
