Any preference to those whose dwarves are/were living legends in Nist Akath?
i.e. Xotes, BurnedToast, Nagash (II), Adalore, Akroma, Bullion, Eden, Nok, Nosey, Bomrek and such?

Anyways, how is Scorpios doing?
And what year is the fortress in now?

Lava flowing from the Hammer Tower? Walking dead? The landscape in flames?

Goddamn, that sounds EPIC.

In some ways I regret the Companion assisted deviation from stock DF, but on the other hand ZOMBIES AND TITANS AND DRAGONS HELL YEAH!  What is the Captain wearing these days?  Just for reference if I have time to make some kind of fitting tribute for the fan art thread.

I was thinking that too, but then again I realized that at this point Nist Akath is otherwise invincible. Not much to do, no threats posed, ect.
The only thing I was really opposed to at first was the taming of the titan, but I suspect that it'll have some plot point in the future.

If they survive the end, they would already have dwarves.

I'm not sure to be honest. I'll probably be able to answer that when I can see the legends screen.

He's carrying Kal Berim and a Copper Battle Axe (for some reason not steel, he usually has steel). He's wearing three pairs of leather trousers.
He only has one sock, and its on his left foot.
He has a silk shoe on his left foot, and a cat leather shoe on his right foot.
He is wearing a large rat leather dress, a pig tail vest, and a rope reed coat.

Everybody is wearing at least exceptional steel plate. We have a lot of steel, though a lot of (nearly all of) the stuff needed to make this is imported.

So that's why there was an image of vests...  It was in reference to Ironblood!

I'm assuming the three pairs of pants is just a way of layering against the cold.  No clue about the mismatched sock/shoes.

So, a copper battle axe instead of a steel one, three pairs of pants, a vest, dress, and coat, one sock, one silk shoe and one leather shoe, and a stone cabinet.  I believe the term is "eccentric"?  No, that's not it...

"Dwarven"

Vomit and blood.

Yeah, that's part of the fashion in Nist Akath.

Captain's Log. 8th of Obsidian.
We've just got the barracks as close to complete as it is going to be for a little while, what with the untimely lack of the few remaining olivine blocks to finish the floor pattern.

Instead, we commenced work on the emergency opening system, a trapped system allowing only one correct attempt to open the bridge to the fort, otherwise sealing the trespasser in an icy tomb.

It is not possible to know the method beforehand, and only a handful of our dwarves even know the correct lever to pull, and I'm unwilling to put it down on paper for fear of the secret getting out eventually.

This is, of course, all well and good, but today we noticed young Atir Pagepear acting very secretively, and has taken control of a crafts workshop.

Captain's Log. 14th of Obsidian.
Fortunately, all Atir needed for her masterpiece was a useless chunk of malachite.
As a result, she has created the less than astounding "Voidmalign the Magicians of Weight".

It's a Malachite toy hammer.

Encrusted with Malachite.

Captain's Log. 12th of Felsite.
Things are progressing smoothly around here, apart from a bump or two.
The shaft is nearly complete, with only the mechanisms and the emergency access bridges left to add.

The trap for emergency access to the fort from the outside is also nearing completion, and the levels above sport an expensive outdoor war memorial to our fallen.
Even in death they may defend us.

Unfortunately, the small bump I speak of is young Nish Pagepear, who has begun speaking in tongues, shunning her food, and seizing control of crafts workshops.

Not very ladylike behaviour.

I've finally read up to the current post on this, and wow. pretty nice. This thread also convinced me to read up on BoatMurdered, which seemed to have achieved some mythic status among the Dwarf Fortress community.

...

Christ, though. Boatmurdered makes this place look like the Enlightened Forest of Dreaming or something. I don't think I've ever seen or heard of such a rapid dismantling of all order in such a far advanced society.

That being said, I'd have to say that Nist Akath is to perfect Dwarf Fortress storytelling as Boatmurdered is to perfect Dwarf Fortress Gameplay.

Anyway, could I be thrown on the list? I'm not holding out for actually getting anyone, but I would really like a male speardwarf: "General Valter" (reference to Fire Emblem 2).
